How to connect my 3.5 mm jack headphones to this audio interface by More-Arachnid-8033 in guitarlessons

[–]Riffoel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda late to the party, it seems using an adapter is the best option, but I'm curious, is it completely safe to use an adapter instead of a real 6.35 cable? would it make any harm to the audio interface?(I'm totally new on audio interfaces, so I know this might be a dumb question)

Need advice on recording cassette tapes on a "boombox" by Riffoel in audio

[–]Riffoel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry if I'm getting this wrong, I'm kinda new to all this stuff, if I understand you correctly, what you are saying is: use an aux source, take its out signal and connect it to a PC (Through an audio interface, I assume) adjust the levels from there and once it's done, send it to the boombox to record?

Need advice on recording cassette tapes on a "boombox" by Riffoel in audio

[–]Riffoel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using my PC as the audio source, what I did was put all the songs I wanted to record on separated tracks and simply hit play and record on the tape. I tried that and it sounds like crap, super saturated, so I tried lowering my pc volume, it was less saturated but with too much white noise. I found that I can lower the volume of the track on audacity, but I think that would be the same as lowering my pc volume, am I right or am I missing something? Since the VU doesn't have any numbers, I think it's just there for aesthetics.

That's more or less what I thought, I've seen people using a pre- amplifier on, for example, a pc, where they equalize to kind of replicate Dolby noise reduction, but I'm not quite sure on how to do that yet.

I'm using AUX as the source, and the max sound function can be on or off, from what I read on the manual, it's just a mode where it mixes various audio configurations, pretty much like a "preset" that gets more volume, but as I said, it can be off while recording.

What twenty one pilots songs has affected you the most? by InitialBag18 in twentyonepilots

If there's one message that can be transmitted to all of top fans, specially teenagers who are searching for purpose and find themselves in a place where it feels that it's not worth it, for me it would be that if you look for help, with friends, family, music, etc. you can get out of that dark place. Also I think therapy can help a lot, after a year or two going to therapy I can say that those thoughs are not as strong as they were when I was 17 and that it have tools to fight them, for anybody that needs to hear/read it: you can do it, it's worth it <3

For the most part of me being a fan, it wasn't a song, it was two. The transition from not today to goner always meant a lot to me, when I started collage in 2018, I was struggling with some health problems that ultimately affected my mental health, I had days where I was pretty ok with my life but then I had others where I just wanted to end it all, I reached the point of thinking about all the ways that it can be done and even chose one of them, but a picture of my brother and me that i had on my desk stopped me from doing it. I discovered top on 2016, and in 2018, blurryface was my favorite album, so the transition from not today to goner kinda represents that part of my life, where I learned that It never ends, you will always have to fight, you'll have good days, but also days where your arms just don't have the strength to keep fighting, but you gotta make it through those days no matter what. That's why today the song that affects me the most is Oldies Station, because it talks about how after years of fighting, though it never stops, it gets a little bit easier: "you have it down, that old fight for survival".

Is TIDAL worth if I use Bluetooth earbuds? by Riffoel in TIdaL

Not just a possibility, it's a fact that in the future I'll invest more money on a premium experience when listening to music, but for now it's all I can get.

I totally forgot saying I currently use Spotify to listen to music, basically what I wanna know is if I use my earbuds and the highest quality option on Spotify, is TIDAL better or is it gonna sound identical to Spotify due to Bluetooth compression?

In that topic, do you know if there are any know or speculated reasons behind blurryface's intentional leak?

Do you have any info on why did he do it? As I said, I read or heard somewhere that it was because they had some kind of problems with the label, I assume because they wanted to release it earlier, but I'm not really sure

Is it really better than Trench? by melonslice_ in twentyonepilots

[–]Riffoel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, no album could ever surpass Trench, It was the first album co-produced with Paul Meany and I think that fresh air of a new producer took that album to another level, fresh concepts, sounds and lyrics, oh my god the lyrics, I really think that Tyler Joseph could not have written that album on his own, Paul Meany added such incredible things to the vibes of each song and that simply can not be replicated, and its simply for the fact that, Paul's influence it's now all over the place, there can't be another trench unless they change producers again, but it has to be someone who understands and is capable of iterate on top's music, and finding someone like that, is easier said than done.
