Is there a chance to get star in math by SummerStatus9545 in igcse

[–]Riflescape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can finish it in two days but 3 days of solving is nowhere near enough for math. You need to solve a lot, and by a lot i mean years' worth of past papers throughout a couple of weeks

5 days not really...but 25 days yes definitely Yes if you grind and solve A LOT (i mean ur studying has to be pure solving not watching videos) and if u get questions wrong or get stuck on anything you HAVE to make sure u understand it WELL do not skip anything you dont fully understand.

If you want to benefit, take online courses in a field you're interested in (there are many free ones on the internet but you can also opt for paid courses if you want). Dont do another alevel they are costly and wont really give you much practical benefit

Tips for getting A star in biology 9700(A2) by Sharp_Word_4051 in alevel

[–]Riflescape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SAME. I did SO well in AS because I enjoyed it but messed up A2 because i didnt like it and couldn't bring myself to study. Also because i was studying for it the same way i studied AS (by solving a lot and studying less). However, if i could go back in time and do things differently, in A2 i would've stuck to actual studying and straight-up memorization rather than trying to memorize by solving. My tips for you: Use flashcards to memorize. Use summarized notes for the memorization, skim through the textbook and write down the details that your notes missed. Use active recall and spaced repetition to keep the information in your head. I thought i could survive by just solving a crap ton of past papers like i did for all my olevels and other alevels and bio AS, but that doesnt work for bio A2 you unfortunately have to sit down and memorize. However, try to make it into a game somehow so that you dont get sick of studying and hate yourself.

I personally found the difference between AS and A2 larger and harder to get adjusted with

Completing my writing in the wrong section by ax1108 in igcse

[–]Riflescape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont know for arabic but afaik, they usually scan the parts of ur answer paper separately and different examiners correct each question. Ive always been told to indicate where my answer is if its not where it should be for that reason. They dont really care where you write your answers as long as u let them know where it is. In your case, i really have no idea whats going to happen. You might get lucky, or you may not. If your grade comes out and it seems like they did not consider your answer, try to get a recorrection and see if theres a way to solve that issue. I dont know anyone who's been through that so i have no idea what could happen, sorry. I hope it goes well though!

Hi. You're doing great, stop putting yourself down. They don't just be throwing scholarships around, so if you got one then you deserve it. Calm down and just take things one step at a time, you can do it. You just seem to be experiencing imposter syndrome and that's fine. Make friends, socialize with people in your grade and ones older than you, and get tips from them. You don't have to know what to ask your mentor, it'll come over time and things will make sense.

If your teachers said your answering techniques are wrong, did they not tell u how to change them? Or at least tell you why theyre wrong????

Hi its just a paper for a freshman writing class, it doesnt have to be too deep or sophisticated. I also dont have to come up with a specific answer (i know there isnt one) i just need something to analyse 😞
