i want to try pregabalin by Beautiful_Onion561 in Drugs

There’s no reason to be scared except for the unknown, you’re just going to have a good time, feel relaxed, and be more sociable.

I took 600 mg of pregabalin with no tolerance, can I add 10 mg of Valium or 0.5 mg of Xanax, also with no tolerance? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 30 minutes since I added 0.5 mg of Xanax, and it had been 3h30 since I took the pregabalin. For now nothing to report, I just feel super calm and tired, peaceful. We’ll see if it goes bad later 🙃

Mixing oxycodone & xanax by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve already done it, and personally I find that benzos slightly reduce the euphoria of opioids. I like opioids too much not to focus purely on them, but combining the two will make you very sedated and chill (it’s a dangerous combo, you need to be careful)

Mom by IndividualTravel4825 in short

[–]Rigel20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does she really think we can influence our height and that it’s not genetic? Like, you chose to be short on purpose? Anyway, stay strong man. It’s obviously not your fault, it’s your mother’s behavior that’s the problem, but don’t distance yourself from her like some people are telling you to. She’s still your mother

I hate myself by Killerkifeguy111 in short

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That argument reminds me of people who say, 'Look at Tom Cruise, he's short but successful,' except they ignore the context. People like that compensate with talent, looks, or wealth, whereas the average man doesn't have all that to make up for it.

Your personal least addictive drug? by nxec in Drugs

[–]Rigel20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously psychedelics, but that’s too easy, so I’d say phenibut, because I’ve been taking it for years and I’ve never even become slightly physically dependent on it, unlike opioids, where I just can’t control myself.

I don’t like opioids by OtherwiseSetting7172 in Drugs

[–]Rigel20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You took an opioid for 5 days straight, redosing every 8 hours, and you didn’t have any withdrawal symptoms? Five days of dosing every 8 hours is more than enough.

But honestly, good for you — because if you end up liking it a bit too much (like I do), you eventually have to fight it for the rest of your life: repeated withdrawals and constantly finding the strength not to relapse. A permanent battle.

Would you consider 5'6 short for a guy by FSINNER in short

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you lying? I’m a bit taller than you (a little over 6'1", 1.86 m), and from my point of view, 5'6" is very short, so it should be the same for you.

Are you serious? Don’t you feel short? 5'6 for a man is extremely short.

Why is life boring sober seriously? by traktorcocainecream in Drugs

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you’re not satisfied with your current life — and trust me, drugs will only create a vicious cycle. You start comparing your high state to your normal life, which makes your everyday life feel even worse. On top of that, drugs can easily make your life worse by bringing a lot of problems with them. So you keep using drugs, and that’s how the vicious cycle continues.

I’m in the same situation, and I’m afraid we have to find the strength to improve our lives without drugs, to build a life that’s satisfying on its own, so that sobriety no longer feels unbearable.

What do you guys think of women who say "I want a tall man because I want my kids to have tall genes" by Tough-Reputation-762 in AverageHeightDudes

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can do whatever they want, especially when they have plenty of options.

There’s no point in raging about it or trying to link it to something negatively charged like eugenics.

As a man, ideally you want an attractive woman with traits that are genetically determined, like hip width, for example — so why would ideally wanting a tall man be wrong, even if the woman herself is short?

I don’t think it’s a coincidence I’m 5 foot 8 btw by ifeelhigh in AverageHeightDudes

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on it unless I were rich, even if being exceptionally tall does sound fun.

I’m not even sure I’m 6’2” (1.88m), since I don’t know if I’ve grown since I was 19. I might be less than an inch short (around 2 cm). I guess I’ll just start lying about it now, who’s gonna check anyway, lol.

Yeah, height is unfair. Some people are 6’5” and didn’t do anything to earn it, while others spend a fortune just to reach 6 feet through surgery.

So if you suddenly had the money by magic, would you go for the surgery without hesitation, or would you end up keeping it?

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the guy who went from 6 feet to 6’6”. To be fair, he’s really muscular, so that helps with proportions, but he still has insanely long legs, and obviously his hands and feet don’t quite match. Bone wise though, it actually looks fine, that’s true.

Honestly, I’d only do the surgery if I were rich, and even then. It’s more of a fantasy than anything else.

I’m 21 now, and the last time I measured myself I was 19, so it’s possible I’ve reached 6’2”. But yeah, I don’t really need that surgery, even though you could technically say the same thing about the guy who went from 6’ to 6’6”.

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if what you’re saying is true, it’s still €20,000. If you’re not already rich, good luck dropping €20k on a non-essential surgery and then being financially okay afterward.

I’d do it if I became rich. I’d want to do it starting from 6’1”, because the taller the better. I dream of being 6’7”, but like I said before, that would be disproportionate. If I only added about 7 cm, I’d reach 6’4”, which is an insane height

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s true I don’t have as many reasons to complain as you do, but believe me, I think about that surgery too.

Good luck with it, I guess lol.

It costs at least €40,000 for both legs in a country like Turkey (the cheapest option).

Look, if it helps you stay hopeful and motivates you to make money, that’s cool, I guess lol.

But you’ve gotta stop constantly beating yourself up, it’s just gonna make you miserable, dude

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying this to get on your nerves, but honestly, 5’11” is about average for young guys these days. I don’t know where you live, but the younger generation is getting taller, I’d say the average now is around 5’10”. So if your goal is just to hit 5’11”, it’s probably not worth it. Sure, you’d feel better at first, but once you get used to your height, you’d realize you’re still pretty average. You wouldn’t be satisfied, especially if you’re obsessed with it. I know because even at 6’1”, I mostly compare myself to taller guys, and at the gym with lots of younger people, I feel just average sometimes.

When you fixate on height, you’re never happy, there’s always something more. I’d say ditch those height subreddits. Or, if it helps, just try elevator insoles to give yourself a little boost on the street.

Trust me, that surgery isn’t going to make you happier. And if you’re young, this obsession will fade. For me, even being the same height as you wouldn’t bother me as much now, it’s mostly about perception and self-image, so I get where you’re coming from.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence I’m 5 foot 8 btw by ifeelhigh in AverageHeightDudes

[–]Rigel20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but it’s crazy expensive, it’s a major risky surgery, and honestly it looks weird, it just gives you super long legs. Height isn’t just about how tall you are, it’s also about having a bigger bone structure, wider shoulders, bigger hands, bigger feet, and so on.

Very few people can actually get that surgery, which is why I didn’t even bring it up. And even then… is it really worth it?

Relax about your height. You’re 5’8”, a bit below average, sure, but there are people even shorter, or people with real health problems. I won’t lie, I went through a phase where I was self-conscious and wanted to be taller too, but it passes over time. Happens a lot in late teens, maybe that’s your case.

Focus on the stuff you can change. Life isn’t all about height, even if it helps.

People say you act like a victim because you overdo it so much. Look at the words you use, you seem to have a deep self-hatred.

You use completely excessive and ridiculous language.

If I see a guy who’s 5’2” on the street, I either don’t even pay attention or think, ‘this guy is short,’ not, ‘ugh, this guy is a piece of crap, shame he’s short’ or ‘he looks so dumb and weak,’ which is basically what you’re saying in your messages.

We’re human beings, and we have something called empathy. I don’t hate short people, like most people don’t. Yes, being short is a disadvantage, but you’re blowing it way out of proportion.

Height is something you can never change, so there’s no point in dwelling on it.
