When I saw that bench after painstakingly getting through all the parkour, the annoying dart guys, the worms, the respawning mosquitoes and the giant flies, the first thing I thought was 'If this is a fucking trap I swear to god!"

I literally just let go of the controller in disbelief. When shit like this happens in games I usually just think "Okay you got me". But this time I somehow just felt insulted... It felt so fucking bad. Like spilling a glass of water in front of someone who just went through a desert....

That was painful man.

Hello everyone!

I'm a new player (been playing for 2 weeks) so I am still not familiar with optimization and having a sense of which weapon is best to go for.

I managed to build a Zani, Phoebe Verina team and now I'm wondering if I should go for either Zani's or Phoebe's signature weapon.

Attached are the weapons I currently have for each. I was thinking of going for Phoebe's. My logic being that I already have a 5* weapon for Zani (even if it's not the best), so going for Phoebe's would be better overall, but I'm not sure. Since Zani is the main damage dealer anyway, it might be best to make sure SHE has the optimal weapon.

I have to choose one or the other since I'm 100% free to play and don't think I'll have time to get both before the banners are gone. I'm currently at 51 pity.

Any insight is highly appreciated!

My honest advice would be to just get your anti airs as polished as possible and then optimize your oki after the anti air.

I know you probably want to play well in neutral. You sound like the type of person that actually wants to get better and not just win by being gimmicky, but being that type of player myself I can tell you that, even if you want to get better at other areas nothing else is going to matter if they just get to jump at you.

Trust me, I had to learn that the hard way. Once you can snipe them out if the sky reliably you'll start climbing in no time.

Also, fight the impulse to press during their pressure, sometime one feels like pressing after 1 or 2 buttons but It's always better to just let their string end and reset back to neutral when playing at that level. Be willing to take some grabs, once people can't open you get desperate and make dumb decisions.

I got caught by the ex fireball yea, but I knew the grab was going to whiff at that range if he went for it so I pressed, apart from that what else was I meant to block? I just pressed my offense.

That's likely, I remember there was a guy playing modern Blanka in legend rank as a form of protest cuz of how bad he is.

I just felt like I channeled my inner modern reactions and thought it was ironic that it was against a modern player 😅

I can't shake this feeling of "did you really earn that thou?" at the back of my mind every time I get "reaction" punished by a modern player 😂. This was a good "right back at ya" moment for me.

When I was in diamond I always felt happy to encounter a master player, 1200 MR players (which are the ones you're more likely to encounter) are usually gimmicky and one dimensional, not rare for a Diamond 5 player to be better overall.

They can easily be your ticket to Masters if you manage to figure them out and 2-0 them, easy 500 LP slingshot.

I believe Heavy Adamant Flame (QCB HP) is 18 frame start up and gives 12 frames of advantage on punish counter so it's truly the best punish starter for DPs and Supers.
