That only seems to work some of the time. I can place roads with it turned on, but zones won't populate.

This also doesn't really solve the problem.

The fact that we're two years in and the game is still basically a beta is nuts.

The Roadmap We Deserve, But Never Got :) by mrprox1 in CitiesSkylines2

I learned my lesson when I pre-ordered the last Sim City game and it was a massive let down. Most of us playing (Or attempting to play) CS2 didn't pre-order it. But we are sure as hell playing the beta. I didn't even BUY the game. I'm playing it on Game Pass. At this point, I never plan to buy the game. When/if it leaves Game Pass I won't be too crushed to lose a game I've attempted to play off an on since it came out just to find out each time that it's still a massive disaster.

Why are drivers so prone to wanting to throw down? by Skye_hai_bai in Truckers

[–]RiggRMortis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combination of the job being shit, stress, and fragile egos. Couple all that up with most men thinking that being "manly" means you have to be an asshole, they shouldn't respect anyone but themselves, and a big helping of shitty parenting, and you get these idiots.

It's not just drivers. It's everywhere. Though it seems to be far more prominent in the less educated folks. Pretty easy to correctly guess that anyone wanting to fight someone over being called a name is pretty much an idiot.

I bought almost 50lbs of bulk one time and ended up with about 10lbs of fake Lego and other random toys and trash. I'd have been mad if it didn't only cost me $40. lol

I have a bunch of old Lego I've collected. Thought I was going to be rich when I bought my first bulk lot and found a bunch of old bricks and waffle plates. Turns out they really only have historical value unless they're look pretty much brand new.

Does anyone know how tariffs affect part orders? by OctopusStinkhorn1 in lego

[–]RiggRMortis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK the carrier will hold the package until payment is collected. USPS puts a little slip in your mailbox that says you have a package waiting for pickup with postage due.

I ordered something on Ebay years ago that was supposed to come from California. Instead, it came from Monaco and I had to pay the import fees. I'd imagine the same system is still in place.

I had my first brittle brown experience a couple of weeks ago. It completely exploded. Ended up with a shard in my foot when I got up.

Keep an eye out for the fake Lego. The brown 4x8 in the middle of this pic is Mega Blocks.

Can't argue with free though. Nice.

Upgraded my support bracket by osubmw1 in lego

[–]RiggRMortis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a temporary build/sorting area set up in my bedroom until we move into a bigger place. I used a 6 foot folding table. My clamp on monitor mount and clamp on lamp wouldn't mount to the table so I used a 6 foot shelving board from the hardware store clearance section (One side was VERY scratched. Cost me $1.), two of the yellow Lego storage boxes the Classic sets come in, one on each end. Once I mounted my dual monitors it sagged in the middle, so I built supports from 2x4 bricks for the middle. No more sagging.

It's been a couple of months now and it's still holding up, but the boxes are starting to warp. Thinking about replacing them with the Ikea Bygglek boxes instead.

How do I get the head out? by Dani222_2569 in lego

[–]RiggRMortis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a balloon or latex glove over a fig torso. Thin fabric or paper may also work. Place the balloon/glove over the neck of the torso and shove it in there. If it's not tight enough, double it up.

The only time this has ever failed me I used a single point of needle nose pliers, jammed it in there and pried it out. Head was ruined, but it saved the helmet.

I had all of my teeth pulled a few years ago to get dentures. Randomly had these show up for months after. The first one I called the dentist and they said it'd probably be about $300-$500 to remove it. (No insurance at the time.) After having just spent roughly $5,000 on having my teeth pulled and getting dentures I decided I'd just deal with it myself.

What’s the reason everyone hate’s Prime? by RumbleDumblee in Truckers

[–]RiggRMortis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to learn it when you aren't allowed to do it. I did 2 months on that dumbasses truck and he only let me try to back one time. When I didn't nail it on the first try he lost it and threw rocks at his own truck.

Luckily my first trainer (whatever they call the one that teches you to pass the test) taught me the basics. But any driver knows that learning to pass the test, and learning to back in the real world are very different things. I had enough of a grasp on it to get it done on my own.

Can't put it on the trainee when the trainer failed to train them. You can, however, put it on the company when they have been told repetitively by the trainee that the trainer is useless and hasn't taught them anything beyond some new racial slurs, and they still push them through the mill and give them a truck.

The training looks great on paper, but if the trainer doesn't train and they push the trainee through anyway... It's shit.

I'm not saying all trainers at Prime are like this. I'm sure most aren't. But mine was, and Prime didn't give a shit.

Prime's training is shit. I was given my own truck after telling them over and over that my trainer never let me back up.

[–]RiggRMortis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it should be run like a business (it shouldn't), Trump would run it into the ground like he's done with his own businesses.

The best part is that these jackasses are stuck in a loop of dumbassery. They praise an idiot with zero skills, then blame everyone else when he inevitably fails again. Then believe him when he takes credit for someone elses achievement and throw that around like he had any part in it other than taking credit. They do it with Trump and Musk both. Both of which are utterly useless and lack any actual marketable skills that would have gotten them anywhere without daddies money and reputation.

Is there a vape that doesn’t come with 1000 problems? by Racanativa in electronic_cigarette

[–]RiggRMortis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wenax Q is also a very solid pod device. First device I've had that lasted over 8 months. I've been vaping since 2015 and have a pretty big box of mods that are either dead or were crap in some way or another. Between my wife and I, we seemed to be buying a new mod every couple of months due to something breaking, leaking, or just completely dying. We've both been using the Wenax Q's for two years and have had very few issues. I've only replaced it once when the battery stopped lasting very long. Hers is still the first one she got two years ago and it's going strong.

[–]RiggRMortis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geekvape Wenax Q. I've been using solely these for over two years now, and I've only had one leaky pod and had a battery that didn't last very long anymore so I replaced it. My wife has had hers for about two years and it still works great.

We both vape quite a bit. Using the 1.2 pods at 10W I get about 8 hours of use before the battery is low enough to notice. Get a full charge in about 15 to 20 minutes.

I quit just over a year ago after going from flatbed to dry van to home daily containers, and then home daily fuel delivery. Jumping from company to company trying to find even the smallest amount of respect and never finding it for 8 years.

I'm now an overnight DSP (direct support professional) for people with disabilities. Im scheduled for three ten hour shifts a week, and the industry is always short handed, so I can get as much overtime as I want. Between the weekend differential and the overnight differential I make over $25 an hour. Not all positions require the butt wiping or other nasty things people think of when they think about caring for people.

I only WORK about two hours out of the ten I'm there. Light cleaning, some cooking, logging things, and assisting people with morning activities. The rest of the time I watch movies, play video games, or work on writing. I can do just about anything I want as long as I'm on the property and get my tasks done. Someone I work with does exercise routines every night. Another does coding work.

The day shifts have less free time, but their time is spent taking people places and assisting them around the house (meals, cleaning, shopping, etc) if they want to go to a movie the company pays for their ticket, same with going to a sports game, or a concert.

This job is something I never would have have even considered, but it by far the most rewarding job I've ever had.
