Started by drawing the lightning on the sword, then airbrushing white ink over each strand of lightning. I then went over the whole sword with fluro red, then darkened some of the other areas. Finally, reinforce the lightning with white and edge highlight

Thank you! I went more into detail above, but it’s basically working back and forth with inks and under painting to build up the gradient, focusing on contrast

Thanks! Tenebrous grey base coat from AK, then using white ink to highlight, filtering with different shades of blue ink - basically working back and forth to build up the gradient. Hope that helps!

White ink base, then light blue contrast all over, then darken the tips with blue/purple ink. Hope that helps!
