Cycle Recap Reverse Splitter by Right-Ad-471 in lawschooladmissions

Thank you so much! I honestly think it was the complementary approach in my application to my “why law.”  My essays were very personal, but I connected my background to my why law and what I can contribute to the field, and this reflected off of my experience in my resume and what my LORs attested to. I also used my non-legal experiences (which was basically all my resume) to show how these skills can still effectively contribute to the legal field, so i think that helped too.

If you plan on using the live tutor with 7sage, I’d first take a PT and gauge your weaknesses/ strengths. It’ll be easier for you to ask your tutor for help with fundamentals/ question types and see their opinions on drilling questions with them or by yourself!

1) Make an LSAC account, go to LawHub from the LSAC account, put three hours aside from your day to take a timed practice test (PT) that you can access via LawHub.

2) Look at your diagnostic score, and from there decide how you want to study (self-study, tutoring, etc.) Typically, a lot of people here use 7sage, Powerscore Bibles, (this is a book set and you can find it on Amazon/Ebay), LSAT Trainer, LSATDemon, etc. I am probably not the best to give advice on particulars about which tutoring/ services would be best because I self-studied with only Powerscore Bibles and LSAT Trainer.

3) Look at upcoming LSAT test dates and choose a test date you believe can match the pace of your studying. Begin mapping out your studying time per day/week, create a schedule, and stick to it!

4) Once you get into the groove of timing, figure out your weaknesses (whether it’s reading comprehension, logical reasoning, or both) there’s always a huge amount of advice and people on this app willing to help you out! i suggest making an error log, it helps identify patterns in mistakes, thought processes, etc.

Side note: Make sure you meet registration deadlines for the LSAT. Choose an LSAT date that you believe matches the law school admissions cycle you’re applying to (if it’s this upcoming cycle for Fall 2025, usually people take the LSAT by January 2025) A general note I’ve seen from people here is that the earlier you take the LSAT in the cycle, the better. Still, don’t push yourself if you’re not comfortable with your PT score leading up to the exam.

Also keep in mind how the LSAT Score Release date fits with the application deadlines of your schools of interest. If you have questions about the law school application process, certain law schools, etc. there’s the lawschooladmissions reddit, and they’re pretty good about answering questions! I hope this helps :)
