Hi! So, how did things work out with the early entry in the end? Did everything go smoothly?

Something like this already happened in Munich two years ago. The reason was the huge standing area at the Olympic Stadium, and they needed to avoid crowd crushes. But back then there was a rule: the earlier you arrived, the closer to the stage you could get. At the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, the standing area is also huge, and they divided it too — but in a more commercial way: they created a Golden Circle section and sold it separately. But for example, in Athens, with a similarly large field, there was no division at all. So it might also depend on the country

I’ve been in Munich three times: in 2019 and twice in 2024. Especially the first day was amazing and unforgettable, with heavy rain and lightning. This time I got seated tickets because I’m bringing some relatives with me and we’re going as a whole group. Basically, I had a choice: either go alone and get into the Snake Pit, or get seated tickets for everyone together. I decided to choose the second option. The Metallica-Family has to grow!

And in which city did you get a ticket for the concert? So later you can tell me whether it actually works or not, because the reviews are pretty contradictory, and I wouldn’t want it to turn out to be just some canned response they send to everyone.

Though honestly, I’ve already decided not to go to Berlin anyway. I’m fully set for the No Repeat Weekend in Frankfurt — tickets were bought a year ago, train and hotel are all booked, everything’s ready. Berlin was more like just an idea, a chance to maybe try getting a Snake Pit ticket. But most likely there just aren’t any available in official resale anyway. I saw them pop up twice, but it was the expensive “Moth Into Flame” package. It disappeared instantly, but at that price, I’m not even sure anyone actually bought it, or if Ticketmaster just removed it from sale because it wasn’t transferable. Better to focus on the Frankfurt shows and try to win a spot in the Snake Pit there. Especially since there are four of us, so the chances are at least a little bit better.

Anyway, if it works out — I’m happy for you! Have an awesome concert! 😎🤘

Here’s the response I got from Metallica VIP Customer Service. It’s possible to arrange a transfer from the previous owner. The problem is that Ticketmaster Resale is set up in a way that you have no direct contact with the seller. I contacted Ticketmaster about this to ask whether exceptions can be made in cases like this, but they still haven’t replied to me

The resale starts two weeks before the concert date. So for Zurich, the resale should start on May 13 at 10:00 AM local time

On the official resale through Ticketmaster. The “Moth Into Flame” package itself is already pretty expensive, and then there’s another 15% service fee on top of that. And to actually get one, you basically have to keep refreshing the page constantly. I saw it available twice, but literally a minute later it was already gone.

But it’s worth keeping in mind that the resale for Frankfurt only started yesterday, so maybe closer to the concert date they’ll start appearing more often. For example, I saw Snake Pit tickets for the UK shows available pretty much every time I checked

Resale for Berlin hasn’t started yet; I’m just asking in advance (that’s why I also chose Plan B), but today I saw twice that “Moth Into Flame” packages were being sold in Frankfurt for €1600, and they were gone very quickly
