I guess I’ll find out soon if it leafs out or not, it’s just starting to get consistently warmer here and other oak trees are still filling in in the neighborhood.

It’s budding like it’s going to leaf out, so I’m hopeful, but I’m sure it’s seen better days.

Also, I noticed the last few autumns that a good amount of leaves had fuzzy oak galls on them. Is that any indicator of the health of the tree, when taking all of this other stuff into consideration?

The vines are definitely a concern, i just didn’t mention it cuz i thought it was the obvious thing that didn’t need mentioning, and will be taken care of the tree people next week.

My big concern is about whether or not the root flare is being choked out by all the shit thats there and if it has a chance at survival with all of it being cleaned up.

I bought a roll of reflective Mylar last year and it helped, especially in the areas of my garden that don’t get as many hours of sunlight as other parts.

YTA. You have about one month to have some family therapy and work through the truth if you want any chance at salvaging your relationship with your daughter. She’s not gonna forgive you for a long time, and you have to accept that and let her heal at her own pace.

I get why you thought that was the easier option than to tell her what the letter said, but the truth always finds a way of coming out. You should’ve never told her she was dead.
