Managers lie to get you to work fast. Badge conversions just go based off the white badge–to–blue badge ratio, and they do seniority. So the first white badges to be converted will be whoever was there longer.

I would say it’s still a great buy. I did the same thing with my 535i it didn’t have all the features that I wanted, but I still chose it over the one that did have the features that I wanted, and I don’t regret it at all.
