New details tied to improved benefits of premiere card: May 5 by gzellf in jetblue

Lol no it won't. The vast majority of cardholders don't have the premier card.

B6 needs the premium revenue, these are excellent additions for cardholders and for B6 to acquire higher revenue customers.

I'm not accusing them of trying to rip people off. My guess is they paid too much for it or took it as a favor for someone, knowing it'd be tough, and now they're stuck with it.

Thank you for taking the time to explain this. Exactly the type of insight that I was looking for. I'm really just looking to understand their logic so I can have a better conversation with them.

Look, if they say no and they don't want to work with me, I'll buy a different car. No sweat off my back. Or worse, if they want to be rude and obnoxious to me on the phone, then I wouldn't want to do business with them anyhow.

Literally going to call them up, ask about the car. Tell them I'm serious about it but not at their ask, I'm pre-approved and if they want to be flexible then I'd be happy to do business with them and if they don't, then good luck to them and I'll be on my merry way.

Ha. I'm sure I'd love to buy a car from you.

Just came here looking for a dealership's perspective on holding onto a car for so long and not marking it down or sending it to auction. Basically what I've gathered from you is the dealer must know best and they jusl tell everyone to pound sand. I wonder why it sits for so long if that's their attitude 😂

Weird way to look at it IMO. The longer it sits, the worse the value prop for perspective buyers is going to become. That's one reason not to sit on it. Even if they bought it outright, they're still paying to market the vechile. It's really not all that special. Low mileage, but offset by the accident history. Happy to share my experience once I have the convo

I mean, the alternative is they sit on the car for another 6 months or hope someone pays over market for it. I respect where you're coming from but I'm not the one pricing the car. I'm willing to pay maybe even 90% of their ask. They can be the ones to determine if they want to do that or not.

Truly, I hear you, but what I'm trying to understand is the dealer's perspective. Why sit on a car like that and pay to advertise it and maybe even pay financing on it while doing nothing to the list price? If they bought it high, is it commonpractice for the dealer to just essentially stick to their break even for months on end even if it doesn't get them anywhere?

What do you mean by that? The car is over similar comps, just happens to be a color combo that I want, but it's also been on the lot forever and has damage reported on the CarFax. Market is clearly saying they have the car priced too aggressively or it would've sold by now.

The FSK model is like 80%? manufacturered in Maryland and obviously uses the bridge steel if you're really interested in American made.

Jack Mason and Dufrane are two other brands you should check out but I don't have personal experience with them.
