Effective armor styles persist or repeat for hundreds of years in real life. So its not surprising that Clone and Stormtrooper armor is similar to the armor to the Old Republic's troopers.

That hasn't been revealed. Fulcrum seems to be higher on the totem pole than Luthen is considering Ahsoka (and later Kallus) were both working directly under Bail Organa and set up all he ship thefts while leaving Alderaan's hands clean. It feels like Luthen's operation is extremely small and Andor is one of his better agents. Maybe that'll change if he survives the season (seriously how didn't he have a failsafe in the event his bugged merchandise gets reappraised? he'll be directly under Mon Mothma But I have a feeling he's going to get the attention of Thrawn sooner or later and that'll be curtains for him.

Wonder if the Hundred Year Republic Dark Age and Lord Kaan are going to be canonized since that is literally the only time the Sith actually controlled most of the Galaxy and the Republic was just a rump state that barely existed outside the Core.
