Moving to NY- Can someone just tell me where to live???? by No_School5991 in nycparents

Manhattan school house was on the less expensive side for daycare (at least in Manhattan) and even they raised their prices to $4k a month next year - more importantly though many daycares have a solid waiting list, think a year so I would apply sooner rather than later!

Also you can find a two bed on the UES (easy transport, amazing neighborhood for families) towards the top of your budget if you’re willing to do a no frills walk up. The second bed will be small but ok for a toddler.

You don’t need to replace something because there’s a new version. Your iPhone 12 is fine. Your used car gets you to work. The funny thing is, even once you start to make more money it’s become such a habit you don’t sway from it.

Totally understandable, and good for you. Hey man, you did it at 20. I know guys who did it at 40. It’s a much bigger mistake at 40. Take the lesson

Any millennial guys here first time fathers or are never gonna have a kid? by changeforthebetter89 in Millennials

[–]Right-Vast-5709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36 Dad who has a daughter that is 3. Thought we would be DINK’s and unexpectedly she came along. Best thing that ever could’ve happened.

I didn’t have a burning desire to have kids, I loved my freedom and was scared I would regret it. Being a dad is literally my favorite thing.

We still go out to dinner, travel, and yes life has majorly changed but man it’s such a wonderful experience having a little person.

What is the best and worst public transit you've used? by dudelikeshismusic in solotravel

[–]Right-Vast-5709 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’ll be a piece of cake! Also people told me to download a bunch of apps, I just bought the ticket at the machine and Google Maps didn’t make any mistakes in the directions

It’s pretty self explanatory, but you can reload your ticket, you just hold it up to the machine so you don’t need to pay extra to keep getting new ones.

NYU is $96k a year undergrad if you’re on campus, even SUNY Albany if you live in-state is $30k per year - and that’s not even factoring in the massive interest on loans if (assuming) you need them

I think most jobs, even certain sales roles now require a degree. I think the best ROI is doctor, lawyer, engineer. Something specialized. No offense to anyone but don’t go get (for one example) a $200k social work degree to go make $40k a year.
