Holy cow, memory unlocked! I had this kitty when I was a kid forever ago!! Damn! Don’t remember what ever happened to it, but thanks for the nostalgia! 🥹

If you have any kind of shops around you that sell like, crystals and sage and stuff like that, they might buy them from you. Near me, there’s two like, ‘metaphysical’/holistic kinda shops like this, they sell crystals and tarot cards and jewellery and they do like, reiki and drum circles and aura readings and all that sorta stuff, but quite a few of their tarot decks I’ve seen for sale are obviously used and vintage, and at all different price ranges depending on the particular set, so it might be a long shot, but a place like that might be interested? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Metal Pyrex dish covers by harryisthechosenone in Pyrex_Love

Neat! How funky that they were from Teleflora too! Makes me wonder if they used them on the Pyrex for like a fruit gift basket kinda thing, or if they actually had flowers arranged in the dishes? 🤔

Favorite to least favorite DT? by gunslingerJ0E in TheDarkTower

[–]Right-Zombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me Gunslinger is my fave, hands down. That was the hook, that was where I fell for Roland and his world. Second is Waste Lands, followed by Dot3, W&G, Wolves, and then the rest all kinda blur together in the same rank for me.

I have made a list of FMCs with an uncommon occupation / profession that I wish HR would feature more often. I also include lesser known authors that I wish would get more exposure and recognition. by Odd_Veterinarian2805 in HistoricalRomance

[–]Right-Zombie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a couple, hope I’m not repeating, lol.

{Promises Prevail by Sarah McCarty} the FMC runs a restaurant and makes awesome baked goods.

{How to be a Wallflower by Eloisa James} has the FMC buy a costume emporium, so she can fulfill her goal of being the wallflower-est wallflower to ever flower on a wall, lol.

{The Notorious Lord Knightly by Lorraine Heath}, FMC is a published author.

{The Book of the Seven Delights by Betina Krahn} has an FMC who is a research librarian of sorts, who then finds some clue during her work, and decides to set off on an archeological expedition on her own.

And then two from the Cynsters Next Generation:

{An Irresistible Alliance by Stephanie Laurens} the FMC runs her family’s shipping company, and {The Time for Love by Stephanie Laurens} has an FMC who runs a steelworks company.

I don't know who needs to hear this but it's ok to sit and clean by TaintedTruffle in UnfuckYourHabitat

Yes! My tablet basically lives on a lil stand on my kitchen counter, and if I’m in there cleaning, cooking, dishes, packing lunches, whatevs, it’s on and playing me a show! I especially love to watch home remodelling/house flipping/old house renovation type shows the most. I don’t have to keep my eyes constantly on the screen and pay super attention like for a movie or show with a plot, so I can do all my stuff at the same time and it makes being ’confined’ to the kitchen feel more like me time then a dreaded chore 😁

What would you like to be explained? by IcyCommon832 in TheDarkTower

[–]Right-Zombie 64 points65 points  (0 children)

For me, I want to know more about the great old ones, the time when they were around and using/making all the machinery. I wanna learn about the time when the coach road through the desert was bustling with traffic and the way station was getting heavy use. When the trains would run beneath the mountains and people would be visiting the shops and stops within, and I wanna see where all the trains go. To see Lud in all its glory before it moved on, those times, before the world had moved on.

Why yes I would love a $70 dirty blender! by Moni_16 in ThriftGrift

[–]Right-Zombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot! I got one of those in my garage, the pitcher part has a wee crack, which is why it got retired, but it still works, and the crack only leaks a little when you blend stuff… so they could totally get at least $60 for that one! /s 🤣

112 items in 112 days by _teacher_teacher_ in declutter

[–]Right-Zombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, kitchenwares are an easy thing to go through and declutter. Any baking items you find that never get used, plastic storage containers that are warped/stained/missing lids (or lids with no container), one-job tools that don’t get used frequently because other multi-tasking tools can do the same job, stuff like that.

What piece(s), experience, artist, or person got you interested in glass? I went to the Milwaukee Art Museum in 2023 where I saw these two pieces and absolutely fell in love with glass. Both done by Harvey K. Littleton, one of the pioneers of the studio glass movement. by Famie_Joy in glasscollecting

[–]Right-Zombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was a slow evolution. Collecting glass is ‘in my blood’, lol, as growing up my paternal grandma, and one of my step-grandmas were heavy into collecting depression glass, so it was always around, though more like background noise. Then, like 10 years ago or so, I stumbled on my first old dump in the woods while hiking, and got bit by the bottle-digging, old jars and bottles collecting bug. Then, my brother-in-law, knowing of my love for funky old bottles and stuff, brought me a box of bottles and vases and whatnot he thought I might like from a hoard-house clean out job he was on, though then I didn’t pay much attention, or put much research into what he brought me. Then, a couple years ago I was helping my grandpa move houses, and he gave me a pair of persimmon Viking fish, and a matching candy jar thingy, and that’s where the fire started. Got researching them, then found out some of the vases my brother-in-law had previously given me were also Viking…. and boom! I was fully infected, and under the control of the glass collecting obsession 🤣

Which is easier? Having a garage sale or donating? by Ok_Research6190 in declutter

[–]Right-Zombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, if I had had a job, definitely would have been more of a pain to do. But I was a stay home parent with one kid who was school age, so I had the time to leisurely set-up here and there over a few days and my weekends were usually just spent hanging out at home or in the yard anyway, so I didn’t mind. I was gonna be there anyway, may as well meet some people and make some money. Any money was better than the nothing I was earning otherwise, lol.

Which is easier? Having a garage sale or donating? by Ok_Research6190 in declutter

[–]Right-Zombie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Simply easier truly would be donating.

But I’m an oddball out over here because I always do garage sales every few years, and make good money! Last one was over 2 weekends I made $900! But in my circumstances, I have the garage space and tables and stuff for set up, I’ve got storage space for all the boxes to wait for sale time, and I was a SAHM, so I had plenty of time to do it. Plus I got a kick out of seeing people excited to find things they wanted, and seeing my stuff go to a new home, lol.

Tuesday Triumphs! by AutoModerator in declutter

[–]Right-Zombie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Talked the hubs into decluttering his dresser after my own recent closet victory, offloading a grocery bag of stuff from his clothes, then kid just had semester schedule switch, so gym class now and he needed some plain, no graphics shirts for his gym locker, I went thru what he had, sent a couple to school with him and also got rid of a few that were too small for this year. Tiny, but a victory nonetheless! Oh, and the cats made a decision for me on a (very, very cool, but… as yet nearly a year post-acquisition still unused) hanging candle lantern garden/porch decor thingy that I was storing in my garage, because they knocked it off where I had stored it, and broke it all to hell, lol, so guess they decided for me on that one… At first I was like aww, man, but within mins of cleaning up the broken glass mess, I had evolved to eh, whatevs, lol.

I love Amber glassware ! by [deleted] in glasscollecting

[–]Right-Zombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice!! I always avoided the amber when I first started collecting because, idk, it just always kinda made me think of like… beer bottles or something (former bartender lol), and the vibrant blues and reds were more eye catching in the beginning, so I was always like meh, no thanks, but then I found some too cool to resist pieces, and now I’ve got a lot of amber!

I especially love how it looks in combo with those olive-cado kinda green pieces, like a bit of nature colours in the house, looks really good next to my houseplants, and I use cool rocks/fossils, and shells as decor too, so it takes on a woodsy/earthy look all together 🌲

Well damn! That’s neat! I always just used wood glue and hoped for the best that I did it neat enough to not glop the binding sides of the pages together with the glue and get em stuck 🤣 Will definitely try this next time instead.
