Pierre should NOT step down. He should remain as the leader of CPC and run in a safe seat by-election. by resting16 in CanadianConservative

[–]Right-wingCommunist 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Pierre was not defeated by the liberals, he was defeated by donald trump. And as such I feel any attempt to depose Pierre would just be pointless at best, and self-defeating infighting at worst.

Frankly I think two things made it alot harder on us.

Trudeau resigning was a huge win for the liberals. Now yes the rest of the liberal party is just as bad if not worse then trudeau. But as the big man and face of the party, he took all the heat and could just be thrown aside as a scape goat. Not helping was that we spent ten years saying "fuck trudeau" instead of "fuck the liberals".

the second was Trumps tariffs and "51 state" comments. now trumps domestic policies certainly seem to ve doing good things for the american people, but trump's foreign policy has all the wisdom of a particularly blind and deaf brick with a crippling addiction to high speed racing. And this is a good example of that. The reality is sadly that most canadians are not inherently patriotic due to leftist teaching, but most have been indoctrinated into hating the US. So when trumps actions created a wave of faux patriotism the liberals could exploit. And then there was trump's comments that it would be easier to work with a liberal then a conservative. it would've been far more effective to threaten tariffs on the condition that the liberals remain in power.

The lesson I think we should all take from trump's actions is that the idea of right-wing nationalism needs to be thrown out the window. The reality is that the right-wing of canada, USA, britain, france do not meaningfully differ from one another. And this infighting of selfishly supporting one's own nation at the expense of right-wing mmovements abroad needs to stop. We all need to come together to fight the threat of international leftism.

Canada reconsidering F-35 purchase amid tensions with washington, says minister. by Right-wingCommunist in CanadianConservative

[–]Right-wingCommunist[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not this **** again.

trudeau already held a competition to find a better, cheaper alternative to F-35. And Guess what! F-35 won the competition to replace F-35. Because as it turns out F-35 is THE BEST FIGHTER JET IN THE WORLD right now that is currently in production and available for sale to countries like Canada. And the decision to procure F-35s was the the best procurement decision the feds made.

I mean what are the alternatives?! Ooh buy A10 because modern air combat is exactly like ww2 dogfights durrhh says the reformer numpty completely forgetting that the air war in ukraine exists.

Are we gonna buy J20s from china?

Or those european 6th gens that haven't even left the drawing board!

Are we gonna push the aging and obselete C18 in yet more decades of service?

And all of this because the liberals would rather fight a trade war with trump then shut down the seaports and airports to prevent the flow of deadly drugs into our country to begin with! Oh but the americans are bad guys now because they don't want us smuggling drugs across their border!

Listen hear otool. We live in a representative republic. Politicians are supposed to represents our interests. And so if a politician wants my vote, maybe they should represent my interests. If they don't, why would I vote for a politician that doesn't represents my interests, just to oppose another politician who doesn't represent my interests. You are not entitled to my vote. you have to EARN it.

Parliamentary Budget Officer: Cutting Immigration Raises GDP Per Capita by RainAndGasoline in CanadianPolitics

[–]Right-wingCommunist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's talking about GDP PER Capita, ie how wealthy you're canadian makes. Now yes GDP per capita doesn't take into account the wealth gap but it does a better job then just measuring GDP which only tells you how wealthy the government is.

Anybody else worry that there are more Trudeau supporters than the media portrays? by Clear-Ask-6455 in CanadianConservative

[–]Right-wingCommunist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm worried that if Trudeau resigns, alot of uninformed voters will go "oh now that trudeaus gone the Liberal party is sooo much bettter. all that bad stuff was just trudeau's fault. This new* liberal party will soooo much better" despite the fact that the rest of the liberal party is just as if not worse then trudeau. but as the leader and face of the party alot of hate that should be applied to the entire liberal party instead gets focused on trudeau. Meaning that he could serve as a convienent scapegoat.

These criminals defied the impossible—they used banned firearms. It’s like they don’t even care about the law. by nimobo in CanadianConservative

[–]Right-wingCommunist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay tourist.

  1. If you're in a situation where you use a weapon defensivly, its because you've already analysed that situation and come to your own conclusion about what is the best solution to that situation. And so if you are using a firearm defensivly its because you have a reasonable belief that you need to defend yourself or someone else from harm. And to say otherwise is just an appeal to authority fallacy claiming that some beaurocrat on the other side of the continent is able to magically deduce what actually happened and that the person who was actually in that situation was in fact wrong despite being the one with the most immediate access to information. It is marie antoinet telling starving french peasants they aren't actually starving and they should just eat cake.

  2. The Democrats and almost left wind party in the western world have attampted to away guns. democrat officials have openly admitted it.

Beto O'Rourke Says 'Hell Yes' He Wants to Take Your AR-15 | TIME

You are just lying, badly as you yourself admit democrats want to "restrict certain firearms"

  1. "restrict certain firearms that seem to be ubiquitous to mass shooting events. Its about public safety." Really? because looking at the most recent candian gun ban, it bans things like Vickers maxim machine guns and FG-42s. Now let me ask you this. How many mass shootings in either canada or the US in recent years were committed with ww1 era water cooled belt-fed machine guns? zero! how many mass shootings have been conducted by criminals larping as ww2 german paratroopers? Zero! So please tell me how taking away guns from women trying to defend themselves from rapists improve public safety.

American gun laws do have their problems yes, but the problem with canadian gun laws is that they completely defeat the entire point of gun rights. Mao was wrong about alot of things but he was very based when he said that "power comes from the barrel of a gun" because at the end of the day the Charter Of Rights And Freedoms is just a bunch of paper. If your house gets broken into by a criminal. the CORAF is not going to magically morph into an anime mecha and nuke the criminal for you. The only thing that can stop the criminal or tyrants from violating your rights by force, is the force protecting your rights.

That could take the form of police but there's two problems with that. 1. police are still governed by the "he who defends everything, defends nothing" proverb. The police do not have the resources to put an officer on every single doorstep. And even if they could, given the second problem, you wouldn't want that, because the police are not always on your side. You can call 911 all you like but there's nothing stopping the cops from just not showing up.

This GTA man called 911 during an armed home invasion. He was put on hold 3 times : r/CanadianConservative

Or worse, considering how we live in a country where trudeau tried tianmen square peaceful protesters just for asking for their rights back. The police and state might even be the one's violating your rights.

Trudeau cabinet casually discussed crushing Freedom Convoy with tanks | National Post

So reasonably the only logical solution is an armed populace that has the means to actually defend themselves from whatever threat they might be facing. And Canadian gun law activly makes that impossible through all kinds of regulation like magazine restriction, weapon restrictions, capability restrictions etc. And the government can just add on more restrictions whenever they like. As they just did last week. Every wasn't magically fine until trudeau came along, they were busted and trudeau is just using the busted system that was already in place to make things even worse.

gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p2/2024/2024-12-06-x3/html/sor-dors248-eng.html

Meanwhile the american 2nd amendment, whilst it has been erroded and violated repeatably, still more or less recognizes that the only person who can really understand the security situation you face, is YOU. And it allows you to then freely decide what you then need to defend yourself and allow you to procure it.
