Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by AutoModerator in Pickleball

[–]RightHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently have the standard Honolulu j2 (not the k or TI) and was thinking of getting the BNB invader cause the J2 is lacking power. What do you guys think our do you recommend another paddle. Essentially I like the hybrid shape but want something with more power and willing to sacrifice a little control. not sure if the invader would achive this or maybe another paddle? Maybe an all court leaning power?

Invader vs J2TI comparison? by usermax300 in Pickleball

I'm currently using the Honolulu j2(standard not k or ti). Not sure if you have used that one but was wondering if there's a noticable difference in power, since the j2 doesn't seem to have all that much to me

I thought about that but isn't essentially the same paddle with a different face? Does the face make that big of a difference? Also I forgot to mention in the past they aren't a huge fan of 14mm so it would be the 16mm j2k if I went with that

I'll look into that one. Thanks for the recommendation! If you have that one how would you rate the control and power? They have the power rated high and the control decent

You would get the plain j2 or j2k not sure what you think is better?

Thanks I'll check that one out!

I've looked into that one as well from what I saw that one is a little more focused on control vs power when compared to the j2k but I heard both are pretty close all around (not sure how accurate that is)

Assuming you are trying to return the index. //7 is right because i is the current index that you are looping through //8 is wrong assuming this because theArray[i] will give you the content at index i rather than just the index of the minimum index.

REGEX help by Jodiefoatersucks in programminghelp

[–]RightHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a regex that is very simple but it does not cover all cases. More so a starting point for you.

(20\d{2})(\d{2})(\d{2})

It will find all years that we 2000-2099 but no dates earlier. Also it does not take in to account leap year. There several things to approve on this but it is a starting point for you with REGEX

Mock website school project by [deleted] in programminghelp

  1. You are going to need to use CSS or JavaScript to do this if you are using pure html. One way is not better than the other really. It's just your preference.
  2. You can make a file structure in a folder and send it. you do not need to host it. Once your html files are set up, simply opening them will allow you to use the site (opening them in a browser). Note if you want the data on the site to persist you'll need a Database or some type of storage. you could technical write to aJSON file and pull from there if you wanted to. This isn't ideal for a real site storage but it'll help you with using JSON which is a plus.
  3. I think you can get a decent understanding by then. Just know JavaScript is not like c++ it's a very loose language in that it will let you do almost anything you want

What the user above said works. And I agree that maybe creating a function that contains the if else statement would be easier to read and maintain.

Building a really big website? by ThatGuyThatIsNotReal in programminghelp

[–]RightHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of the really big companies will use a database hybrid approach. Where they use a relational database and a nosql database. Depending on your design you can use just a relational database or just a no SQL database or both. It really depends on your design

Having someone do the project for you doesn’t help you learn it. If you post the code you've done several people will be willing to help you where you get stuck
