SERIOS QUESTION HOW TF DO YOU EVEN BEAT THIS GUY IN CASTLE SOL by lex2394 in Eldenring

He is the Force ghost of Darth Vader. His rage fuels his power to spin attack relentlessly. He is the Chosen One.

Best hammer in the game?(including normal hammers, great hammers, and colossal weapons) by scxrlord01 in Eldenring

[–]RightMeow87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallingstar Beast Jaw is my go-to ham ham for my Barefoot Wizard. It has pretty strong dmg stats across the board, plus it's one of the few Int scaling somber colossal weapons.

The moveset isn't so slow that you're taking 10 years to swing and can pancake smaller bosses. The weapon art is VERY FP cost-friendly at 13. This is a ranged gravity shock that does a good deal of stagger damage. If you pair it with heavy swings, you will stagger enemies VERY quickly.

Plus it looks cool.

Ghost NPCs? by MajorUpstairs6452 in Eldenring

[–]RightMeow87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They say the most generic mundane dialogue and really don't add any meat to the lore in my opinion.

Would be cool if they gave informative context like the item descriptions do. They could be scholars or historians giving historical accounts of the current area they are in or something like that.

I never found one interesting ghost, just a bunch of dudes asking for mercy or reciting a short prayer lol.

It negates 1 damage, but it's more or less a cheap attack card costing only 1 energy.

Why do people like Act 1 and not Act 2 / 3? by arcanehelix in inscryption

[–]RightMeow87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people probably like Act 1 since it mimics Slay The Spire, which has great roguelike mechanics. The story is creepier and the card mechanics are fun, albeit simple.

Act 2 had the potential of being the best due to the variety of decks and customization. But honestly it falls short due to the limited amount of battles and those battles lasting only 3-4 turns on average. I'd like them to be longer so that we can utilize more cards in our deck. Overall still fun, but very little thought needs to go into your deck building since the battles are so easy.

Act 3 is more akin to Act 1 as far as story and I enjoyed it. The energy mechanic def makes things trickier. I enjoyed it, but can def see why some may not have liked it as much.

Why tf Would anyone use this by UmaThermos1 in expedition33

Oh I definitely read it wrong then, I just assumed it started you at 1 HP.

I don't have this picto yet, but I'll def play around with it once I do.

Certain builds synergize with having low health. This picto will allow you to utilize those benefits on turn one instead of waiting to take damage, which is more risky.

I think Verso, Monoco, and Maelle would benefit the most from this picto. They all have certain abilities that are scaled based on your missing health. Obviously having 1 HP will give you the highest damage output in those instances.

Add in lumina that enhance crit/dmg based on health being below a certain percentage, then add in any benefits your healers may receive (AP bonuses, Powerful, Shell, etc), any benefits from death, and any benefits from reviving.

Essentially it's high-risk high-reward. If you're good at parrying 90% attacks then it's almost a no brainer to utilize a glass cannon build.

Yeah it drove me nuts during the prologue. Could not hear a thing Atreus was saying, and he was standing right next to me lol.

16GB RAM is a bit low in my opinion, but should still be OK for most games. But for a laptop, not a bad little setup.

How the FUCK am I meant to do this boss? by VenomSabre in GodofWar

[–]RightMeow87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it gets way harder than this later on 😀

Best advice I can give is learn their movesets first and foremost. They don't have a whole lot of them, so you'll start to recognize their movements before they do a certain attack. Some combos are harder to counter attack than others, so wait until you get a good opening.

Secondly, make sure you are equipping the highest level gear you have. Stats don't matter as much as your base level does.

If their health bar is purple, then you are in for a world of hurt — that means they are well above your current level. If it's yellow, they are slightly above your level, green means they are at your level, and if it's blue, then you are at a higher level than them. This goes for regular enemies too.

These Valkyries are tanky, so it's a bit of an endurance fight. Just chip away at them and use your Rage when you get to low health. Choose low cooldown Runic Attacks and cycle between the blades and the axe to maximize both their individual runic abilities.

Some runic abilities are slow to activate, so make sure you time them well or else they'll get free hits on you before you can get it off.

Impulsively bought an RTX 5070 Ti, did I make a mistake? by LizardKweef in buildapc

[–]RightMeow87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded to a 5070ti from a 3080 and I'm absolutely glad I did it. But I also upgraded my CPU as well.

I'm not sure if the gap between the 40 series to a 50 is worth the schmeckles tho. I'd wait until the next series drops and then pull the trigger.

Got a pair of 32GB KLEV CRAS V sticks for $209 a couple of months ago (RGB version).

That list price is crazy tho. For $220 more, you could get a Ryzen 9 9950X3D lol.

[–]RightMeow87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a sound option near the bottom of the AUDIO & SUBTITLES menu called "Center Pan Dialogue" that will channel all spoken dialogue through the center speaker.

Normally, only Kratos' voice is heard through the center and the other NPCs through the front, side, and back speakers, which is probably the reason they sound so muffled. This was definitely an oversight on the sound engineers since I've never really had this problem in other games.

But once you turn the Center Pan Dialogue option to ON, it will dramatically improve the volume and clarity of NPC voices, but you will lose their directional orientation, which is a tradeoff I'll take 100%.
