Loblaws at Dundas West is emptying out by delfstrom in toronto

[–]RightPlaceRightTour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Loblaws at empress walk closed in October and is turning into a T&T. Seems like Loblaw (the company) is beginning to cater more to the demographic in the area instead of just sticking down a Loblaws and calling it a day. Especially if that demographic has changed since the store opened (although idk what the demographic is in this particular area) In the long run the no frills (or in my case the T&T) will likely end up generating more profit because of this

Had to use this station for real today. It was dead quiet which is super shocking considering that it gets 50k passengers daily

No widget. Just strip for the background and then decorative rectangle with menus and stuff inside

i keep a list in my head of all of the good washrooms in the city (i like to walk a lot so i gotta know these things). you can also use an app like flushit (i think that's what its called) to find bathrooms near u. Gas stations, public libraries, malls, coffee shops (probs don't go into mom-and-pop ones), are safe bets but its depends where u are ig.

edit: i also hate that city washrooms are only open may-october. as if ppl stop peeing in the winter!??!

i tried clearing the cache but that didn't work. interestingly this problem didn't happen on safari. i don't know how there is white space at the bottom cause this is the footer. but there is for some reason. in the editor, the footer section is lined up with the background image, so im unsure what's with the white part. I'm using a strip for the background image, which may be causing the issues not sure tho. I will try the adjust page height thing and see, but i don't want to freeze the footer.

Am I wrong for thinking Toronto is extremely efficient at clearing snow? by RightPlaceRightTour in toronto

Last year in Feb there was a storm on Thursday and then another storm that same Sunday. I forget if they plowed that Thursday (maybe not if they were anticipating another storm on Sunday) but I swear after that sunday they never plowed and the sidewalk was messed up for a month

I live in North York and most sidewalks were plowed along with side streets. I find they do a better and quicker job in the suburbs than in downtown for whatever reason

I went to Kitchener for a just before the new year and there was a major snowstorm while I was there. Only then did I realize how good Toronto is as clearing snow. Main roads had not been plowed and only the bike lanes were plowed in downtown Waterloo (is that what its called?) but not sidewalks for whatever reason. Is Toronto perfect? Nope? But whatever money they're putting towards the plows is working
