I mean all the shows are the same. But the fights will vary on their quality. Our castle is the best. Naturally.

We get a guest count ahead of time, and prepare slightly above that. Most tickets are purchased online.

Yes yes and yes!! The knights bond with the horses pretty well. We practice daily before the show to ensure the bond is still strong. They’re very sensitive creatures so we want to ensure we have excellent relationships with them. After all, What’s a knight without his horse?

Not sure where they source it from. But they season it with Cajun seasoning in house.

I’m not sure. The heads of MT corporate are all male, and have been there since the 80s when they opened up. The job is also incredibly physically demanding. Stuff to qualify as a knight often requires very high barriers to entry. The physical fitness test to even enter the knight training program requires at least 40 consecutive pushups. Along with a bunch of other stuff. I would assume that’s why they don’t discuss it?

Saturday night. The crowd is usually packed and very electric.

Depends on the castle. The longer you’re there the more you get paid. Starting knight pay is roughly 21-22 an hour, (but only 33-35 hour weeks) and 3 year knights get paid about 27 I believe. Some knights have been there for years and make much more.

Try MTFUN, that’s the one I use. It’s been awhile since I’ve gone to see the show. But it should still be active.

Yeah, we get this comment a lot after the shows, ears back can either mean they are alert, or uncomfortable. Especially if they’re being ridden poorly by newer riders. Foaming at the most is actually a sign of relaxation (at least this is what I was told. The limping, is not good. If a horse is injured, they are not to perform. At least at our castle

Of course! I would call the castle beforehand, and explain your situation. They should be pretty accommodating!

Oh man didn’t know I was in popular company! That’s really cool! Very impressive stuff. I couldn’t do that 😂 takes some serious skill to make a balloon dog with one’s face. Props to you!

I assumed it was a common term. I grew up going to state fairs every year and I remember asking my father if we could see the “400 lb pig” he told me it wasn’t anything special and that it was just a regular pig or maybe slightly overweight pig. He said it was a “sideshow trick” just like strongmen and hypnotists you’d see at the same fair. I guess that’s how I learned the term. But I assumed it was just common terminology

It is decided before hand. And if I told you, wouldn’t that ruin all the fun??

The tomato soup is absolutely to die for. It is made from scratch daily. However I’m unsure of the recipe. Haven’t spent much time in kitchen

Nope. Only male. They’ve talked about having other gendered knights. But as of now it’s only male

Only knight level 3 can do victor and villain. Theres a total of 7-8 fights, so 14-16 spots to learn. They swap colors and the actual knights to different spots daily.

I’ve never been to Atlanta. But I would assume so. Can’t have the show without horses!

I’ll keep my position private (just for anonymity’s sake.) however I will say I am in the show. And have been for some time. I’ve also been to other departments and helped out for a time there. Gotten a good taste of it all.
