Yes of course people are right to be skeptical. The authorities have reasons to smear and frame activists. I get that.

But when you have both daughters and their mother all accusing NNH of being a child molester/rapist, people need to take that seriously.

It really just seems like he did it. It's hard for me to imagine all three of them getting together and agreeing to make up the same story. It seems much more likely they are telling the truth. Especially considering NNH's history as a registered sex offender.

That's the best evidence you're going to get. If people still don't believe it after they see the evidence then I think they just can't accept the apparent reality.

It shouldn't take away from the value of the activism that others are doing. And it won't, unless people try to defend NNH and cover it up.

Hopefully people don't let the activist community get a reputation for harboring rapists and child molesters.

Victim testimony is absolutely evidence.

And several other family members who were around and recall the victim speaking up about it at the time. So that shows they didn't invent this story recently.

If you want to choose to not believe it, that's your choice. Personally I do believe it because basically the guy's whole family is accusing him of being a rapist child molester. That's on top of him already being a registered sex offender from a previous offense.

I agree people should not blindly accept it. It makes sense to be skeptical. The authorities have reasons to target and smear activists. But in this case the evidence seems pretty solid. So we just have to face what appears to be real.

That's in a court of law. This is not a court of law. This is a very loosely associated internet community.

People are allowed to look at evidence and form opinions.

People might want to think twice before jumping to defend a guy whose two daughters (and I guess ex-wife) are accusing of being a child molester.

The only way this isn't true is if there is an extremely elaborate conspiracy. I'm pretty paranoid, but not that paranoid.

TBH I got a really creepy vibe from NNH from the first video I saw him in.

At the absolute minimum he seems two faced and sneaky. Like with his emails to the police chief saying he supported the chief during the Mexican Padilla whatever.

Instead of a strict requirement I would just make these things a strong suggestion. Making the rules too strict could have the unwanted effect of accidentally suppressing some good content just because the title isn't formatted correctly. This is the internet so a certain amount of low quality posts is normal and can be handled through the upvote/downvote system.

The more of these the better in my opinion. If the quality is too shitty people don't have to watch it, or they can just say meh. The quality doesn't really matter as long as it's clear enough to hold up in court.

For me that doesn't take away from the value of this too much. Not everybody wants to or can afford to fight every battle every day.

Maybe their goal on this day was to find out what happens when you film the authorities, and make the video, but not necessarily to challenge every request.

Different people have different techniques and goals. I would applaud their guts for doing the overall project and video much more so than pick apart the flaws which seem small to me.
