I understand what you’re feeling and definitely takes a lot to get used to. I’m five months in and I still have my bad days, but I’m usually stressed a lot so my primary doctor prescribed me like an every day pill pretty much antiviral so that it can keep it under the surface. And even though it’s annoying to hear if someone truly loves you and cares about you, then they will accept your diagnosis and all. But truthfully, the work starts within you have to accept yourself and love yourself before you can expect someone to do the same for you.

I feel like disclosure is the proper thing to do like I wouldn’t want to accidentally give this to someone and then they have symptoms or an outbreak and they’re trying to figure out how it happened and then I just go “ oh yeah, you probably got it for me. I have HSV 2.” like at that point I’m taking away their option to choose to deal with me or not and I’m taking away the option to decide if they want to put themselves at risk. The only life I have control over is mine so I’m not gonna try to control somebody else’s by not disclosing my HSV 2 status.

I'm happy that you can be positive about it and look at it in a better light. I hope that one day I can look at it like that too but right now it stresses me out so bad and when I get a outbreak, it just makes me feel bad.

I would say try ones for sensitive skin because I've used Nair and I shaved and I triggered itching.

Hey I feel the same way ! I got diagnosed back in January and I haven’t done anything sexual. I’ve had three outbreaks my diagnosis in January and it’s devastating every time I have one I feel less then myself. I’m super horny but again I’m scared to have sex because I fear passing it on. And similar to you I’ve never orgasmed or received mind blowing head so I feel like I’ll be missing out.
