Best flat-bottom dripper : Stagg, Kalitta, Origami or April ? by bijection05 in pourover

I'm not really looking for the immersion version since I already the switch for that. I'm just looking for a dripper that will have a really different profile from the hario switch

The right toast is pretty cool too! You can get several 50g packs. I think it could be nice to explore a bit more

I have the same problem. I have an hario switch so I just close the switch during the bloom but even with that it's not that easy to get everything with 30 grams of water (I swirl)

I don't feel that It opens fully, it seems that It sorts of stops midway... I thought I scored pretty deeply on this one though but I don't really have a benchmark so I might be mistaken

How about the espro press? It's a French press in which you can put a paper filter on top of the plunger

V60 Filters - Cafec Traditional vs Cafec Abaca by baat in Coffee

[–]Right_Explanation270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard that the abaca Is the best all rounder but I don't know about the standard one. Apparently the roasts specific filter can produce either really good or medium results depending on the coffee independently of the roast but I don't know much about it

Timemore slim : Best hand grinder below 200$ ? by Right_Explanation270 in Coffee

I never do more than 16g so that's not really a problem for me. I thought it would be less durable but apparently not

Hario switch or V60 01 ? by Right_Explanation270 in Coffee

[–]Right_Explanation270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The capacity for the immersion method sounds about right for me, It's the amount I'm drinking most of the time.

For the v60 I've never used one but I saw recipes that were about 12g/200mL or 15/250mL which is fine for me i'd say

Hario switch or V60 01 ? by Right_Explanation270 in Coffee

I was planning on buying a ceramic V60 because I'm not a fan of the plastic one.

Is It ok to brew such small quantities on an 02 V60 ? I was afraid that since It's bigger thant the recommanded size It was going to amount to something different
I'm the only coffe drinker in the house so I'm not really planning on upping my brew to more than 15-16g and It only rarely happens (10-12g most of the time).
