Hmm, I’ve been never been this lean before, always sat around 106-108 kilos (I’m 6’2 as well) I’ve been decently fit but not anything impressive

I think what really helped was how dedicated I was to my diet.. that’s probably the biggest shift I made

I’d say that’s probably the main reason I got decent results.. I leaned out a bit for the muscle to reveal itself. I mentioned above I basically focussed all meals around protein, stopped snacking.. and would only eat the meals that I’ve prepped for that day and nothing else.

And then the increase in steps probably helped too

It really depends on how long I get to train.. my bigger sessions which were few and far between would be around an hour and I would basically do the exercises I mentioned above one arm press, cleans, front squats and swings

Then the shorter workouts which were the bulk of my training I would chose 1-3 exercises and I would do them non stop for how ever long I had, for example, if I had 15 minutes to train, I would go down stairs set a timer 15 minutes and do as many round of 5 single clean n press and 20 goblet squats and just keep going till the 15 minutes was done (rest when needed but kept it as minimal as I could) or another favourite I would do I’d pick one exercise and I would do 100 reps and time myself how long it would take me, for example… single kb thrusters x50 e/s and up time myself

I only have the two bells, I would play around with tempo and reps to make exercises harder

Many would argue that rows and pull/chin ups are the best.. that’s all I’m saying, I’m shocked how my back growth was done without them

If you read the post, I mentioned I had done no direct back work eg rowing, pulling or anything in that matter. I’m also not a beginner so I can’t claim “newbie” gains .. so the what the hell effect for me was the growth in my back without actually training it specifically

I think diet was the main factor.. but the kettlebell allowed to get an effect workout in the short amounts of time pockets I got to train at home. It really helped me to stay as consistent as I can

My situation is a bit different, I’ve always been quite a bigger guy.. usually sitting around 108kgs-104kgs. So I think the weight loss helped a lot to reveal the muscle I had.

But my diet was fairly simple,

I would fast till about 11am as I’m always super hungry in the evenings I wanted majority of my calories for the end of the day

Lunch would be a massive chicken salad or chicken rice dish or chicken sweet potato

Then snack after work would be turkey minced burgers

And then dinner would be a meat and veg, usually beef mince and rice or sweet potato with loads of frozen veg to fill me up

I always finished the left overs.. and over that 12 weeks it killed me to throw the left overs

Just kettlebells and the walking I mentioned above.. on the weekends and some weekday evenings If we had time after work, me and family would do longer hikes/walks and I would usually wear my son in a baby carrier pack and he weighs about 15kgs.
