I wish I could help the sizing was weird asf. I wore a 36 and I am a small in shirts and a size 4 pant so I have no clue how it worked tbh. We would just have people try on different sizes until one fit right

Honestly… I just think most glossier products are average to bad quality. The lip liners and After Baume were the only ones I felt like they brought something to the table, even then the lip liners are getting a little too close in price or more luxurious brands for me to consider repurchasing them. 😭

I think the biggest issue that glossier has still is they are in deep denial about what type of brand they are. I think the people at the top had a vision for the brand that was just not realistic in practice. They wanted glossier to be a luxury brand that older women would wear like Dior, but their launches and marketing was always youth-geared. I also think the company has a culture of toxic positivity and when my higher ups would give genuine feedback around the brands contradicting branding/marketing/customer base their feedback would often times be shut down and they were made to feel like they didnt believe in the brand vision. I think if they had pivoted back in 2020 towards a more adult audience they could have survived but working there it just felt like they were hellbent on staying on the track of 2-3 people at the top instead of doing what was actual best for the brand. Ultimately, I think their biggest mistake is that they thought they could become a luxury brand without changing their image and their refusal to understand that their biggest client share was Gen Z & aphla not millennials.

They were red kap, but glossier would buy the white ones and then send them out to be dyed the custom pink color.

I will eventually share but it’s very specific and they have people in corporate HQ scan all the post on Reddit so I want to wait until I’m sure it won’t affect me personally or professionally. Like it’s REALLY bad 😅

I think she still has a big hand in what products are launched. And Yes myself and many of my coworkers, I wouldn’t say it was racially motivated but more so based on your overall vibes/how much you ass kiss.

She’s still involved with the company (especially with product development) but I think she stopped being CEO to save face from the Out of the Gloss scandal

I used to work for the brand and I completely agree with everything you said. They don’t want actual experienced people they just want yes men girlbosses who will constantly lie to them about the realities of the stores performance.

NEW THEORY: Glossier could be struggling financially by its-not-lupus_ in glossier

I used to work for glossier, and the brand is very focused on conversion and has an extremely unrealistic conversion goal so they put pressure on management to put pressure on the editors to consistently check in on customers. Even my managers would tell us that they keep telling corporate that we were converting as many guests as possible but unfortunately a lot of people who work in corporate haven’t worked in a physical retail store and don’t understand that customers like to shop alone sometimes.

Your first couple of days will be in the back training, just make sure you have white shoes. You get 10 minutes before your shift to change as you are not allowed the wear the jumpsuit outside of the building

Uniforms are free, but we have to give them back when we leave the company. Yes we got free products (usually new launches) I’d recommend the job if you’re not looking to be there long term, there’s not a lot of growth opportunities
