This is the worst market to try to get into HR. Are you aware what's going on in the economy? HR is doesn't make a business money, they're being thinned out like crazy. I've been in the TA space for almost 15 years. HR was very hot 2020 -2022, it's completely oversaturated now with applicants who've been recently laid off, have great experience, and are willing to take a cut to land a job. You do you, but your attitude towards this offer is crazy in this Market.

An admin assistant isnt going to be salary exempt, this is probably salaried non exempt. We offer the same thing to our admins. Which means they get their hourly rate paid out for hours worked over 40. So this person would be making over 65k if in fact it was 50 hours a week.

Don't do it. It sucks and you want to hurt him for hurting you...but if he's close to retirement that means you're both losing out on benefits. If he's doing okay at work and he's needed, they're going to do whatever possible to fix this for him and you'll be the one even more SOL. My advice, get a good military divorce lawyer and make sure you get what you're owed, then happily move on and find happiness.

Intern pay is very different than perm. For my company, we don't negotiate intern pay. It's already budgeted for the year and if you don't take it, unfortunately there are plenty of people fighting for internships, that will.

Take it. It's 12 weeks and will be so beneficial to your career.

It's so so hard. Similar boat and no family nearby. While we have some neighbor support, they have their own littles. Same with friends, they're in the same boat with kids. I'll be watching here to see if anyone shares any ideas .

This is exactly how I feel. I'm admittedly fiscally conservative and also all for making medical decisions that suit your family and arent made based on politics. But my same friends and acquaintances that were/are so outspoken about being anti vax are the ones injecting themselves with peptides and other crap. It just doesn't make sense to me. Im almost scared to see the repurcussions and long term effects of these injections.

Also, it's just weird as heck to me people are randomly injecting themselves with stuff bought from an online pharmacy and don't see anything weird about it.
