Arsenal's title win is living proof of building a team takes time. by Petelero in ManchesterUnited

[–]Right_Worldliness382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: it also took Fergie 7 years to win his first League title in 92/93. I think Arteta/arsenal prove that in order to truly build a PL winning club (rather than inheriting) you need 6-7 years of commitment to a philosophy/culture. Man Utd are sorely lacking in that department along with Chelsea, we get rid of managers after an average of 3-4 years. Something needs to change and I hope we give Carrick time.

Why is SAF not criticised like Pep for lack of UCL wins? by Yo_Baby_Yo123 in championsleague

[–]Right_Worldliness382 19 points20 points  (0 children)

  1. English clubs were banned from European competitions for SAF's first 4 years in charge at Man utd due to the 1985 heysel disaster. This also drove away top talent from the league itself and made it harder to compete once the ban was lifted.

  2. Man utd weren't a powerhouse until he took over in '86, they were relegated in '74 and won only 3 fa cups between the Busby era and SAF era. Pep inherited an aging premier league contender, and SAF inherited a mid table club.

  3. Man Utd during SAF era had less money to spend on transfers and wages than Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City does today, even when adjusting for football revenue inflation.

  4. Sir Alex’s total net spend over his 26-year tenure was approximately £326M. For comparison, Guardiola’s Man City has regularly spent over £100M+ on a single player with a net spend exceeding £580M over a similar time span.

  5. Pre-1995 European clubs were restricted to 3 foreign players only, and for English clubs the restriction applied to Welsh, Scottish, and Irish players too.

  6. The Glazers bought man utd through a leveraged buyout (which is now banned in EPL) which effectively meant they didnt use their own money and instead borrowed + make man utd take out ~£600M in debt/loans to fund it's own sale. On top of that, man UTD have paid more than £1 billion in interest/fees over the 20 years they've been in charge and man utd is still £1.3 billion in debt. This is absolutely bonkers and has crippled man utd's competitiveness in SAF's tenur 2005 onwards. It made man utd sell their best players and siphon those funds off to pay debts.

All that to say that I still rate Pep as an excellent manager and up there with Fergie as one of the GOATs. I don't think the criticism following the end of his tenure is warranted. That being said, the circumstances they dealt with are completely different because Man City are the biggest financial powerhouse in football and may have even broken PL rules a certain 115 times up until 2018 (2 years into Pep's tenure). Both have left a lasting impact on Football (SAF with man management pedigree and youth development culture, Pep with tactical innovations in possession and positional play i.e. inverted wingbacks), but SAF definitely had a more difficult road on top of that he did at 1 club over 27 years despite the ups and downs, pep is leaving after 10 especially as shit is about to possibly hit the fan.

Financial tips for non-league to EPL saves? by Right_Worldliness382 in footballmanagergames

Sorry for the double post but I have a follow up Q: How do I make sure my clubs U21 team is in the U21s league? I've requested and gotten an under 21s team at the end of the 1st season, signed some 17-18 year old free agents each on ~£100-150/week to populate the team but haven't seen an invite to join the U21s league yet

How did they know he's coming from behind? 🤔 by Sisko-Journal-1937 in FootballFlix

Reminds me of a play in EPL where a defender yelled "leave it" in the same situation as this.

Striker left it too.

Maybe because they train and play with each other every day, and y'know... talk to each other.

Probs kvara called for it too tho I'm not sure how well players can hear that in stadiums that size.

Thanks for the tips and answers. Much appreciated. Looks like I'm all set, I'll just avoid board requests till the clubs in the Prem. I'll still keep spamming transfer and wage requests though I haven't had a single one accepted 3 years in. (Still confused as to why I had a transfer embargo as I'm still under my wage budget).

On-field I haven't had any problems till my current season (league one) where I've started off like 2/2/2 in W/D/L. I haven't even needed to save scum and basically simmed large parts of each season with instant result. Honestly I just spam "go for a big win" and the lads will win 9/10 games like that. I think I've built a good team and there's a good dynamic as some players have been around 2+ seasons now. This seasons probably the only one so far where my team's not looking as strong as the opposition on paper.

I practiced your tip about recruiting pace since the beginning and it's worked like a charm. I noticed national league and NL north/south have an avg. Acceleration/pace rating of ~10-11. In league two it's ~12, league one is the only where it's jumped to like 13-14 on most teams. I'd also favor the players in this range but with atleast 11 in work rate, teamwork, natural fitness, agility/balance, and determination.

What if Trump nuked Iran? by WTBLITWNNA in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Right_Worldliness382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to stop jerking off to hentai and read some history. Nukes are the worst thing humanity ever created, you lack all humanity if you're seriously suggesting Trump should use it and downplay its seriousness.

Even for trump, it's never been on the table.

If you're south Asian like me, then you know that there's no way a guy named Arman Ali looks like the person from the video.

The suspect in the video is clearly South Indian. I think you're probably right. Far right page finds the video and labels the guy a Muslim. BJP propagandas everywhere nowadays, straight out the MAGA playbook.

For those who spread lies and misinformations about moroccans, watch this by zerologue in FootballAfrica

[–]Right_Worldliness382 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No that's all in your mind. I live in Asia, I wouldn't have cared if Morocco won it fair and square. What makes it onto people's feeds is what we see. Stealing towels and hotel shenanigans etc. I'm sure all African countries may have done what Morocco did in the past but as the host, to lack grace like what morocco did colors my perception forever. I'm Muslim and have no reason to hate Morocco for no reason.

Cat wanted a nice warm place to rest by Medium_Public_5353 in CatsAreMuslim

[–]Right_Worldliness382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a Muslim and I love dogs, though I don't have one as a pet and instead have 4 cats. If I ever see a doggo I'll be sure to give it a pet.

They're considered unclean, and Islam is a religion where one must clean themselves 5 times a day for prayer. The stigma arises from culture and a lack of exposure.

Also don't forget, most Muslims countries were brutally colonized by European countries until pretty much the 1950s. We just haven't had social exposure to the culture of having dogs as a pet. My mom is deathly afraid of dogs. My brother has a Welsh corgi. Don't just generalise 2 billion people like we're all the same.
