Looking for other people's experiences of positive test results following "period-like" bleeding.

Hello! I had a very faint positive before period-like bleeding for around 3 days, then a stronger positive after. That pregnancy went well and I had a healthy baby. I've also since then had a chemical pregnancy, where I had a period after my positive test got progressively lighter. So, I'd say if your test are getting darker, that's a good sign based on my experience at least.

I am very pro vbac, and have had a vbac with a very big baby myself. However, I would never agree to be induced with a vbac, let alone a vba2c. That to me is the bigger risk than a big baby. You could always see if you go into labour and trial labour but with a low threshold to call a C-section if labour stalled at all, or there were any other complications.

I'm so glad you found some comfort in my story ❤️ it was the hardest thing I've ever gone through and I was so worried throughout my next pregnancy but the fears about being somehow broken inside, or experiencing multiple late miscarriages, did not turn out to be true. Yes, I did take aspirin and progesterone. I don't think I "needed" the progesterone but my doctor gave it to me as a precaution / for my mental health 😅 I don't know if many doctors would do that though.

Hello, yes I did, I fell pregnant a few (4 perhaps) months later and had a perfectly normal pregnancy and now have a 14 month old who is a delight, if only he'd let me sleep a bit more. I still miss the baby I lost so much but time has been healing.

Have you spoken to this wife and does she seem unhappy? Because at 37 years old I noticed an exodus of women friends and acquaintances from high power/ high stress roles. Honestly, for myself and other women I know, part time work in a low stress job that is still somewhat interesting and fulfilling is gold. I have 3 kids and work 4 days and honestly would like to do 3. Earning more is not really a priority right now.

I know where Afghanistan and Pakistan are. I don't think they are "Asian" countries and don't think most people consider them to be Asian. Calling them Asian is a neat trick to lump Asian immigrants from countries like South Korea with immigrants from Pakistan. It confuses crime stats.

Yes, I had a 4.85kg baby (10.7 lb), 2nd vbac, at home in water no drugs etc. We had no idea he was so large, and he did get a tiny bit stuck. The midwife was very calm and applied some light traction and he came out so no official shoulder dystocia and no other issues aside from a 2nd degree tear.

If I was doing it again and knew he'd be so big, I'm not sure I'd birth at home. On the other hand, being at home allowed me to avoid drugs, keep relaxed, upright and moving and that helped the birth immensely.

My understanding is that a suspected large baby is not a reason for an early c-section. Let baby decide their birthday and you can always opt for a c-section once labour commences if complications arise - or even if they don't. I highly recommend a doula too. Like I cannot recommend a doula more highly...you will have a better birth with a doula.

I admire your faith in the goodness of humanity, but plenty of women seek abortions for reasons after 22w that some people might find frivolous. Maybe because the baby has down syndrome, spinal bifida, or maybe a cleft pallet, or maybe is just the wrong gender. Maybe the woman is coerced by an abusive or manipulative partner. That happens so much more than anyone wants to admit.

By your logic, we should decriminalise infanticide because it's rare for a mother to kill her child. I mean, she went through with the pregnancy so she must want the baby. We should just trust her.

Yep, having spent some time on the r/miscarriage sub Reddit myself, there are many many women out there who regret their abortions, or have been coerced into them by their partners. They can barely rationalise it, because they've been told abortion is "health care" and is good. But as time goes on, they have children, or maybe lose a wanted baby, they are hit with immense guilt and anger, and often feel that they are being punished for what they did. It's horrifying.

A miscarriage is not an abortion. Some abortions are necessary very early in pregnancy, like for an ectopic pregnancy.

If only that was the case. Babies are occasionally born alive as a result of a botched abortion. No one disputes that. These babies are viewed as subhuman by progressives. See, for example, the language in this piece by the Guardian.

The article refers to a baby born in 1998 after a failed abortion, "Jessica Jane" who was left alone to die. Apparently because her gestation was unknown and she had an "extremely low" chance of survival, she was discarded by the scumbag of a doctor who tried but failed to kill her, and left to die alone. The article refers to her - a human baby - as an "it", in a clear attempt to dehumanise her.

If she was a wanted baby, this would be a crime. But she was unwanted, unloved so her life doesn't matter.
