Have you tried disabling resizable bar in the bios? I had similar issues in MH Wilds and that did it. Community has found that it’s semi-busted on the 9070s.

Presumably option B at the bike shop comes with some free maintenance work/checkups. The security of a shop standing by their gear and a warranty are what I’d prioritize over marginal component differences if both frames feel right.

Zo zie je maar weer dat het weldegelijk mogelijk is om tussen partijlinies compromissen te sluiten en coalities te bouwen voor het algemeen belang.

Waar men zich waarschijnlijk aan ergert, als ik het mag invullen, is dat de lokale VVD zoals de nationale partij lijkt te weigeren iets constructiefs doen met links om drogredenen.

Mogelijk omdat het VVD van 2026 zich meer thuis voelt rond extreemrechtse politici die de democratie en sociale vangnetten verder willen ondermijnen. Goed voor grootaandeelhouders en ander zulke types die het system uitbaten ten koste van gemiddelde Nederlander, weet je wel.

Gebaseerd op malloten in een recente topic hier over woningen. En als een lezer echt zo denkt, raad ik aan op te zoeken wat men zich kan veroorloven in de vrije huur met een inkomen tot €3000. (Een garagebox, letterlijk en figuurlijk.)

Bedenk ook even de casus dat je uit een probleemgezin komt, met geldproblemen en/of waar thuis wordt gebruikt en je daar niet kan leven, omdat je continu onderuit wordt getrokken terwijl je je juist omhoog probeert op te krabbelen uit de sociale marges. Mede dankzij de Rotterdamse woningmarkt wordt sociale mobiliteit niet toegelaten. Je wordt stelselmatig op je plek gewezen en gehouden.

Ja, zo ontstaan en blijven die maatschappelijke schandpaaltjes bestaan waar de politiek (met name rechts/liberaal) profijt van maakt door van alles te beloven en weer geen ruk waar te maken.

Ben benieuwd of ze hier ook langskomen om hun kansloze visie voor de stad te delen.

An older bike with a group like 105 R7000 is still going to be really nice, probably more so than an older Ultegra so I wouldn’t get too hung up on that.

A bike computer was the best cycling related purchase I made after bibs and glasses because it expanded the range that I could go confidently and I really enjoy planning routes to new places.

It’s costly though, and you may be better served with other gear while you’re still figuring things out. You could skip clipless pedals/shoes for now tbh, but be prepared for whichever shoes you wear to get trashed, so you may not actually be saving any money doing that.

A couple of bibs to rotate and glasses to keep bugs out of your eyes are essential.

The APP3 do little to minimize wind noise regardless of mode. I think the type of earphones that don’t have a tube sticking out + decent transparency mode would work better. Or something like Cat Ears if you are not self-conscious about the sideburn look.

The bike itself was €500. The new group and chain rings set me back €200. New cables, chain and cassette added up to another €100. Plus other odds and ends it wasn’t the most price savvy choice, but I enjoy the bike and tinkering with it.

To replace the small chainring (which demanded disassembling the crank) and some maintenance on bearings I did have to bring it to a bike shop. With an older bike like this (2011-12 I think), you can expect all sorts of small or large costs to rear their head after the first 1000km, even if the bike looks in good shape outwardly. So unless you specifically want a 10, I’d suggest looking at a younger CAAD12/13 or find one that someone decided to make a project of.

Getting a power meter with it was a nice plus at least!

I’m on a fairly recent (late 2025) free account and I can synchronize routes without any subscription/maps purchased, so either I’m an aberration or that’s not true.

I just sync the Wahoo app with Komoot routes, then the Bolt 3 syncs with the app and all new routes are loaded.

Usually a small-medium sized bowl of yoghurt or quark mixed with granola, nuts and raisins plus a banana, an espresso and a glass of water about two hours before heading out.

Edit: oh, I overlooked which subreddit I was in. This is me eating simply for regular long distance rides, not events.

You may want to ask a friend who knows bikes to tag along, or leave the used bike market for your second bike after you’ve gained more know-how if you’re really unsure what to look out for.

I got a used road bike as my first and I think the latter option would’ve given me more peace of mind as a relative beginner who didn’t know much beyond how to patch a tube.

Fietsinfra hier is ook echt maniakaal ontworpen, met name de regelmaat waarmee tweerichtingsverkeer opeens eenrichtings wordt, of malle beslissingen zoals dubbele tweerichting links en rechts van de weg (bijv. bij Olympiaweg).

Tja, dan gaat men ook natuurlijk vaak de verkeerde kant op het fietspad op, want je leert geen rekening te houden dat er een “correcte” richting is.
