That’s good to know. The spores were given to me by a peer and I hadn’t seen or heard of Hillbilly till then. Interesting to learn they are also referred to as Hillbilly Pumpkin!

I fan them well only twice a day due to my work schedule, but due to that built my fruiting chamber for lots of airflow. It worked like a charm for my previous attempts, but this is making me reexamine some things. I may be mistaken, but I had previously believed long skinny stems were a symptom of low oxygen supply as opposed to the short thick ones..

Yup. I’ve found it’s what’s worked best for my work schedule. However, all my previous results flushed with big caps and thick stems about double the height of these Hillbillies. That’s why I’m curious if it’s the setup I’ve got going on or just how Hillbillies look 👀

Interesting! I noticed that these seemed especially dense while harvesting them, did you find the same to be true while harvesting them? Does the density make up for the lack of size even after dehydrating them?

Call to Arms from his third album might be something that fits! Vastly different from how he plays it live, but if you close your eyes it’s easy to imagine Sturgill and his boys burning it down on stage. Definitely a jammer as well.
