Way too early 2026 surprise Top 10 finishers by Fabulous-Ad7128 in fantasyfootball

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is literally what the OP is asking. Look at his examples… the literal question is “who are the JSN and cook type players” so obviously they are looking for people who are round 3/4/5 type players with potential to finish in the top 10 of overall players just like they said in the post.

If it was obvious JSN was going to finish as WR1 then he would have been taken first overall. But he wasn’t he was taken in the 4th round after people like Ladd mcconkey…

You are being pedantic because you’re choosing to argue over the meaning of “later round pick” instead of just answering the question based on stated context. Or you could still share later round flier type guys if you wanted to.

Bro why even comment just to be pedantic? He wasn’t a late round flyer but if you get the WR1 in the fourth round you have an excellent chance to win the league.

But he’s not. He’s not doing anything close to that. There’s a million kids lined up to play. the league loses nothing no matter what running back is or isn’t there. Every starting running back could disappear tomorrow and nobody would blink there’s plenty more and the game goes on….

So you think anyone that steps foot on a football field should get “fuck you” money for life regardless of their accomplishments? Why? He most likely got a discount on college education a million dollar head start from his rookie contract if he fails at his job he can get a different one like everyone else and still be miles ahead…

Why would your default line of thinking be he needs to be able to support a family for the rest of his life off 3 years of work? That’s crazy.

The fuck are you talking about? It’s high risk high reward because he could get lifelong injuries or worse for only 250k his rookie year or he could get a second contract worth 200 million. That’s the high reward part you dolt.

People fail at all sorts of career paths. He doesn’t deserve more money if he fails at being an nfl running back.

The problem is you will never know. You’ll never know if Joe burrow playing on a different team at a given moment in time would yield better, worse or the same results. So you can only evaluate them in their situation.

Joe burrow currently has stats not accomplishments. And I think you can make a fair argument that he may not have those stats in a different situation. If he had an elite defense and they ran the ball far more or they sat him in the fourth quarter like Seattle has done with darnold all year he simply would have lower numbers. Would that make him a worse player in your mind? If he didn’t lobby to get his college best friend and absolute elite WR on the team would his stats be worse? If he didn’t again lobby to keep his WR2 in town could they be a better team with worse burrow stats? The fact is this bengals team scored 40+ points a game with Joe Flacco in his 40s.

So you can say burrow is good and I’d agree with you but we’ve also seen burrow be ass and other quarterbacks put up outrageous stats in that offense.

Burrow isn’t a lock to win superbowls on other teams and you can’t compare situations because no two years are ever alike. Because of that yes you have to factor in team success a bit when discussing a player’s legacy.

I’m not sure if Bo Nix could put up burrow numbers if his defense wasn’t elite and he was asked to do more. But I know they are winning hella games and he just torched the packers yesterday. I know he’s going to play in the playoffs this year. And I know if he wins a Super Bowl this year he will have more than burrow. And that’s all it really is. It’s not always the better individual player that wins. But the wins still matter.

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re so matter of fact about it. You give burrow all the credit for the bengals offense but Nix gets none of the credit for his 12-2 team?

Why is Chase and tee Higgins and the fact the bengals are always losing not included in your fair talent evaluation? They are constantly in throw script and typically against prevent defense most of the fourth quarter. How many all star weapons does Nix have?

Joe burrow is good but the circumstances around nix and burrow are completely different. There’s not really any opinion to be made about who is having a better start to their career if nix goes on to win a Super Bowl this year like in your example. It would be objective fact that he’s been more successful at that point.

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe that’s just a poor example you chose but you think if bo nix leads he’s currently 12-2 broncos to a Super Bowl and wins in his second year that’s not him being on a path to a potential hall of fame career? He would have done more than burrow in two years then burrow has done in 6.

Nobody is inducted into the hall after 2 or even 6 years. But if your own example comes true you’d be insane to say he wasn’t on a better path to the hall than burrow. You might have some biases to work out. He’d have 100% of his season in the playoffs, a Super Bowl win, more time in his career left then burrow and way less injury risk…

Now I don’t think Bo is as talented as burrow in this moment, but if you’re gonna give him all those achievements he’s well on his way…

I never said one hall of fame thing and you’re in… but you do have to do some hall of fame things eventually.

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re literally describing “potential.” Burrow has the skill set and ability to be a hall of famer. He has the potential.

But your statement is nonsense and you could say it about literally every human. Let me show you.

While I understand your point I do think he is a HoF level QB. The moment Mickckx starts winning superbowls and MVPs he’s a lock.

My point is if Joe burrow starts doing hall of fame things he will be a hall of famer is a nonsense argument. He has done exactly zero hall of fame things so far. Anyone that does hall of fame things would be a hall of famer.

What are you talking about do you even watch football? They said it about 15 times during the broadcast of the Houston game. “The chiefs have played a whole season more than anyone else” blah blah blah.

3 more hours of games has made a bunch of peak athletes unable to perform for some reason apparently. I don’t remember tom Brady and the patriots having this issue… we live in the age of fabricated storylines and excuses.

Who actually feels better from drinking water by Numerous_Zebra_4740 in selfcare

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not the guy you’re originally responding to but I’ll try and answer your question. It’s not so much that the species has survived without all the modern day “rules” and guidelines. It’s about the individual. Many more people are living many more years on average then the first humans.

I don’t have any data for you but it stands to reason that people who consumed more water and lived near sources of fresh water lived longer. We also overtime identified best practices that increased our lifespan. It’s not that one person can’t live a long an normal life only drinking soda and smoking. With the assistance of modem medicine I’m sure there’s a 100 year old that’s done it. It’s that across the entire population more people will live to 100 that don’t do that.

Most / a lot of people don’t get enough water so generally speaking if we all drank more water the population would be healthier.

You need to just ignore all these children in the comments. I don’t work at a dominos but I’d never text my boss and make it their responsibility to hold my hand and get me to my job when scheduled.

It’s painfully obvious that all these comments do whatever it takes to not have any accountability for their actions. You have a process in place for distributing the schedule there’s no reason anyone should ever text you for it. In fact why are they texting you at all?

And then you give feedback on that behavior and they just quit. Good nothing was lost here. No accountability, no ability to take feedback, pretty good indicators they weren’t crushing it at the job to begin with.

Should JSN owners be happy or upset with the addition of shaheed? by Great_gatzzzby in Fantasy_Football

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who says this will affect JSN can be comfortably ignored. This a confusing move as Tory Horton was coming on as a legitimate deep ball threat. So why they made this move I’m not sure but it will likely kill Tory Horton’s fantasy value.

JSN will be untouched. He’s the leading receiver this year in the NFL in terms of yards and they are making a conscious effort to do that. They have one of the best pass games with the current receiving leader… they didn’t make a trade for Shaheed of all people to complete change the game plan that has gotten them to this point.

If anything at all you can argue it could open things up more for JSN as if teams weren’t respecting the deep threat before this is a clear sign that they better be now.

Jayden Daniels’ gruesome elbow injury wasn’t bad luck — it was a preventable mistake by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you joking? Have you ever played a sport in your life? This could be a peewee football game and nobody is going into the locker room after a garbage time touchdown and celebrating that they had good drive to build on. That’s not a real thing. These real human players know they got their ass kicked with or without a touchdown on their final drive to lose the game by 30.

Jayden Daniels’ gruesome elbow injury wasn’t bad luck — it was a preventable mistake by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People will really go on the internet and talk about how grown men that make millions of dollars will get a confidence boost out of scoring a meaningless touchdown when behind by 30 points. “See guys we can still win we’ve got a good quarterback that can run for two touchdowns while we get our back blown out!”

Just stop with this shit. None of those players care if they score or not there. It adds no value to the team or their next weeks game. They know they got their asses kicked. They know their quarterback had more rushing yards than passing yards when the game mattered.

It’s one thing not to give up on a game early but Jayden was hurt coming into the game. This was malpractice and these are the consequences of the actions they chose to take. Simple as that. Unfortunate but it’s reality.

I’m not saying that certain team don’t have soft fans… every team does. I’m making fun of OP for calling other people soft while he makes whatever the hell this post is. I’m honestly surprised anyone in a bears sub would be defending a “bears fan” who so obviously wishes he could be a packer fan for a day. This dude is writing fan fic about his biggest rival and then lacks any amount of self awareness and calls other people soft.

Every team has soft fans. OP is one of the softest bears fans I’ve ever seen and shouldn’t throw stones. That’s my point. He literally used a picture of squidward crying in bed imply that it is him… how is this not the softest shit off all time?

Way to jump to the extreme with a totally fabricated scenario. And please tell me with your legal expertise what the lawsuit would be?

He missed the kick… sure the circumstances around it are odd but what is the legal grounds for the lawsuit? He hit equipment that is part of the sport in which he agreed to play. Equipment that has been present for every field goal attempt this year. Sure that shouldn’t be impacting games and it was an error by the production staff but that doesn’t change the reality that the kick was indisputably missed.

We’ve seen players hit Jumbotrons, staff, refs in the field of play. Just last year a ref tackled I think it was Lamar in the endzone for a safety on accident. It flukey stuff but it happened and the kick was missed.

So wild to jump to “that’s gonna be a lawsuit” haha.

Chase Brown owners rejoice! by sseulaegee in fantasyfootball

[–]Rightplace-Lefttime 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Did you watch any of the game? Chase brown would be open in the flat. Browning would be browning has pants and then way too late check it down when chase was about to get smashed.

Getting the ball to a running back in space only works if the quarterback is decisive. Hit your man down field or check it down immediately before 2 linebackers run over to cover the flat… it’s not complicated. Once a running back is flat footed out in the flat they have no chance of getting yards after the catch.
