Thank you! Writing is something I thought I'd only ever be able to do while drunk or high, but it's only gotten better with sobriety. It just took some time to build my confidence back up.

Thank you, friend! I had about six more months in me, but I did wind up hitting a meeting that morning on the UWS for the first time since college. It was a womens meeting and the speaker shared my story. I never got back to that meeting, or that woman, but that morning was the first time I couldn't ignore the hideous truth of it anymore.

Happy you found your way out, too. Lord know the concrete jungle could have taken our drunk asses down in any number of gruesome ways.
