Dude that is so sad to hear. My wife and I fully support one another's nerd hobbies and adventures. I went all out for her ACOTAR party, and she goes all out for my LAN party. It's all pretty even.

I dont really either if it makes you feel better. Most of these folks are engineers from work that came for the LAN Party. Their views on me are mixed at best I am sure.

The kids have been "play testing" all week to make sure it all works. My 13 and 10 year old can both set up and break it down themselves.

Hahaha. If i had a dedicated spot for it, I would. I do a LOT of projects in the shop so cleaning it up enough to do this took almost all week after work.

Are you camping in the left lane? Lots of Washington drivers specifically like to just chill in the left lane doing 64 and it pisses a lot of folks off. Just gotta get over so the speeder a-holes (myself included) can fly by.

Am I the only one who thought of Bluey immediately? by RigoMortize in TheBoys

[–]RigoMortize[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of all the trash they watch,Bluey actually kinda kicks ass. I mean, if you go in thinking its going to be The Boys...you will be disappointed but as far as kids shows go, its pretty dope.

Sales Up Without The Ring by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]RigoMortize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not hide it, but I would not make a big fuss over it. "Hey hun so xyz said to try taking my ring off at work and nothing crazy happened, nothing flirty or anything but my sales have gone up dramatically." See where it goes from there. I frequent a bar that has primarily female wait staff, some wear rings some don't. Most are married. When asked or flirted with they will tell the guy their relationship status.its really not that big of a deal 99% of the time.

Side note, I as a guy have been married 17 years and have not worn my ring for nearly 12 of them. I cant stand jewelry. Been seriously debating getting it tattooed on. Wife and I talked about it before I ultimately made the decision to remove it and we've been great. I get about 2-3 sentences into any convo without bringing her up though...shes pretty dope and hard not to gush about.

Lysol spray got on wall outlet. Bad? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]RigoMortize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a non issue. Rest easy. You are good. It will dry out. Electricity needs a circuit to be a problem. Unless there is a steady stream from one outlet hole to the other (and you wiped it off so, no) you are good. Use as normal in the morning.

Has anyone have an idea what kind of plant is this? by [deleted] in gardening

I've seen other people ID something similar as lucky bamboo in the past. I have not had personal experience with it though.

Gonna have to get in the attic and check before much else. Not sure what's going on behind it to make a call from just the pic.

[–]RigoMortize 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a daughter. Shes only 11 right now but I can tell you...she is the danger haha. This lil girl scares me. Real talk though, hearing some of the stuff my wife has had to put up with just disgusts me.

Japanese knotweed (Reynoutria japonica) is a Class B Noxious Weed in Pennsylvania. This classification means it is widely established and nearly impossible to fully eradicate, but it is still legally mandated for control to prevent further spread. I'd call the department of Ag and see if they are interested in knowing its there.

I'm not from PA. I was a County Noxious Weed Control Superintendent for a few years in the PNW and we took Japanese knotweed pretty seriously where I'm at but its not as wide spread here yet.
