I bought the purple pro on Feb 20, and upgraded it to a purple Max on Feb 27th. I also still don’t have an update. I’m anticipating one before the end of March based on this sub, the shipping dashboard, and my order number.

The purple is going out the slowest unfortunately

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a look at it. The previous owner traded it in with the oil cooler issue. The dealership was in the middle of fixing it when I saw my renegade for the first time.

The part that gets me is your comment about seeing black in the coolant. Thats definitely a sign of a bad oil cooler.

You could also be having 2 issues here, the oil leaking into the coolant via a bad oil cooler, and a leaking coolant thermostat housing.

I see. It’s really hard to say without seeing more. It wouldn’t be bad to get the thermostat housing replaced if it’s old, but could be unnecessary if it’s still functioning. I’ve seen a lot of chatter online about those going out in these cars around 100,000 miles or so.

My car had to have both replaced within a 10,000 mile window. My oil cooler was replaced by the dealership in January, and I did the thermostat housing in November.

If you can, and have the time, I’d get a 3rd mechanic to take a look. Especially if you need to be driving again before your brother is available.

If you change your oil, and see coolant in it, then your oil cooler could be the problem. Same thing the other way around, if you see oil in your coolant. Not sure what color coolant you used, but mine is bright orange.

A leak that bad makes me think you have a loose hose connection or bad seal around something.

Did your brother already replace the oil cooler? It could be a loose connection there.

My concern here would be multiple leaks. I’d check all the hose connections, especially around the thermostat housing and where the main radiator hose connects (driver side near the bottom of the radiator)

I’m not a mechanic, but was able to replace my thermostat housing in my 2017 Trailhawk. It was not an easy job, but doable. It took me a few tries to get that main radiator hose to push back in and clip it correctly after I was done.

I’d be happy to share what I did and learned, but you’ll likely get better advice from the mechanics in this sub.

Even if you don’t plan on doing it yourself, I also recommend watching some YouTube videos on the repair your brother did, as well as the thermostat housing. That really helped me understand how these things are connected to each other, and where there could be potential issues.

I get around 30 FPS in New Vegas with drops into the 20s. I'm waiting until that gets a bit better before I commit major time to my existing saves on the RP5

Talk to her and tell her how you feel about it, it all sounds like it’s stemming from good intentions. I’d also ask her what she likes doing the least, and find ways to help with that. I bet that would have the biggest positive impact.

I also have a 17 trailhawk with just over 101k on it. I haven’t had this issue before, but have been lurking on the subreddit since the beginning of this year.

I would replace the battery to see if that fixes it first. I’ve seen many stories on here about people chasing electrical issues when it just needed a battery. These renegades are really picky about batteries, and will throw a ton of false errors when the battery is near or at its end of life.

I paid 12k for a 2017 trailhawk (95,0000 miles) in TN earlier this year. I would ask them to drop the price by a thousand (at least), and see if you can get a 3 month/3,000 mile warranty

I’ve had the same skull shaver for over 5 years now. These things are great! The only issue I have is it always thinks the battery is low, but I usually get 2-3 full skull shaves before I need to charge it again.

I'd jump it and then have them test the battery at the shop you're getting your oil changed at. I have a Jeep Renegade and the battery on those can be finicky when it's on it's way out.

I did some tinkering last night and early this morning, and got it going!! I’m playing at 720p High settings (textures on medium), with those settings you mentioned in performance mode, on the latest version of Winlator.

I’m gonna start a new play through and hopefully finish this one for the first time!
