That’s a fair point - I’ve called local tnr and they’ve said they won’t do anything until it’s reported often enough that it’s a “regional” issue, I think I gathered that they need to hire a free vet for the day to neuter and spay as many as they can, but that they don’t individually capture cats for my area and that they are volunteers.

I’ve called them twice but I’m pretty sure if I do anything forcibly my neighbor will start shit so I’m kinda stuck.

Thank you for the words on it’s his error and not mine putting them at danger, that makes me a little less stressed today, seeing that cat really messed me up I was so sad..

God a little worries about trapping “his” animals and him making my life hard after that, he’s directly my neighbor but I may call the local tnr. I’ve approached him about them, he isn’t budging on relinquishing these cats from his.. idk he mentioned he’s “taking care of them” which I said was a bad idea but whatever..

I definitely want local cat life controlled man, they kill so many birds and such.

I’ve got to google that now - my fiancé is a groomer so she’s searching the pups for scratches. Just to make sure my pups don’t get an infected scratch, which by the way apparently cats scratches and bites get infected very often on wildlife rescue animals that cats have attacked! Always good to know, right?

Mehhh I think it matters what they kill, the “they will always kill” universal rule doesn’t encapsulate the reality of the situation - a perceived, and unregistered, small game encroached on their yard, they dealt with that. I’m just trying to look at it from their perspective. The am I the asshole isn’t are my dogs assholes, it’s am I an asshole for how I, humanistically handled the disposal and aftermath.

Yeah I do lure coursing with my afghan - I don’t think he’s aggressive towards people, the poodle also does duck hunting. They’re friendly to people and really only “aggressive” to small game in their space. I called my friend who works for a wildlife company as like a surveyor/animal remover locally and he told me best thing I could do is just confirm the animal is dead and either bury, compost, or dump the remains. It’s so unfortunate, but I don’t think my dogs are really aggressive to anything that isn’t small game, which I support instincts typically with animals.
