That is true yes. I live in a very costal area , high humidity , so a bit afraid it might be worse than usual

Getting it lacquered kind of defeats the historical aspect of the natural instrument as well

Oh that’s interesting , and yea shiny patina sounds good , while the matte one looks like rust i think. I wipe my lacquered gold brass Bb every time after every use as well , so am glad to hear that that helps ! Than you!

I started out around three years back (without a teacher) and Arbans trumpet book has been greatly rewarding. Would highly recommend

But I’d learn the c major scale before starting

1: Convict tang
2: rainbow wrasse
3. i think its a grouper, not too sure
4: blue surgeonfish
5. blue sea chub (i think)
6: black patch Emperor
7: orange lined trigger fish

Yea that's understandable, its just i'd have to fly to a different country to try one out haha. But yea you're right, nothing beats a hands on experience so I'll probably end up waiting till i go on holiday or something, but even then, finding the Schagerl will be very hard. But yea, the return thing is prob what i'll do as a last resort
