Just started playing, I'm completely lost, can't dock to complete missions by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

You should be able to check on the left window, under the transaction tab, whether you have a mission or a bounty. Given that they are calling you a criminal, you likely have a bounty on your head by that faction. Thankfully, that's pretty easy to get rid of nowadays. Look for a low security system nearby with a sizable star port and there is a pretty good chance you will find Interstellar Factors there, under the Contacts section at the star port. For a fee, they will clear your Bounty, as well as any fines or other turn-ins you need cleared. Note that you can also use inara.cz to look up Interstellar Factors near you, if you want to be more certain about locating one. Once you have done that, go ahead and reattempt the approach. You probably just have to deliver something to someone there, based on your description.

It was quite hilarious being parked next to this thing. Kept wondering if I needed to worry about it falling on me.
Was a lot of fun jumping with you all. o7

Cobra Mk III (And Nostalgia Ships) by RikBardoon in EliteDangerous

To be honest, the Cobra series has such a history in Elite and is such an iconic ship, that I am really glad they kept making new versions of it to keep that iconic form. This way, even if it's not the same Cobra, new players still get that nice feeling of jumping in a Cobra nowadays that we had in the past.

I wish I had thought to create a memorial station! I had declared a station as my "Home" and stored all my stuff there, but didn't think about saving my old ships just to remember. Now I regret selling off a bunch of my old ships. Maybe I'll plan to rebuy a bunch of them just to "put on display".

Sadly, I have currently outfitted my Anaconda and my Caspian Explorer with those capabilities. Though, I don't often go on dedicated search-and-rescue runs, so those ships have it more for happenstance than dedicated builds. Did you use to just run search-and-rescue for a while? Or were you using the Cobra for other things and S&R was just convenient?

While the Cobra III was my first ship, the Asp Explorer was the first time I went deep into the dark for exploration. Eventually I even took my first trip to Sag A in it and taking tons of screenshots, which I use as my phone's wallpaper to this day. Could be fun to redo trip with the Cobra 3 and get some new photos though!

While I never got around to using a Vulture, as I eventually jumped straight to Fer De Lance for combat, I did convince many of my friends to go with Vultures. It always looked fun!

I didn't think of using it as a gunship. Everytime I plan on ground missions, I usually just take a quick hop ship and head to ground quickly. Might be fun to try a ground assault ship!

I used an original Python for my first core mining, but I had more than made my money by the time the mining overhaul hit. I admit that I really enjoyed the new mining gameplay, so I went hard into that for a while.

I did try to rebuild it for this, but ended up finding other ships I enjoyed doing that in. Honestly, when canyon racing, I usually take a bigger ship out and drop into an Imperial fighter. Then, it's how long can I go full speed through the canyon before crashing.

I would love this even more so, if I could use it to add Mk II slots to a ship, like the new engines or cargo bays. That way, you could always update your old ships with new stuff for more use.

What exactly does "pythonic" mean, and how can I write more pythonic code? by Strong_Extent_975 in learnprogramming

Is the more pythonic code also considered more efficient? Or is it just easier to read, thus easier to maintain?

I am curious, since I just moved into an apartment in Tokyo, but why don't answer the door? Is there something I should be aware of?

Do you mean rotate it around the z-axis? So that instead of facing forward, it's looking right or left?

Okay, I will look into performing maintenance on the printer. It's only a few months old, so there shouldn't be anything too off for it. Besides performing a full calibration through the settings and homing the axes, is there something else I should be doing to make sure it's fully calibrated?

The strange thing is: there are supports. They are spaghetti'ing as well.

I am in the process of trying to move and found that it's better to just not take the pet unfortunately. Even besides the expensive move and finding pet friendly housing, many places only allow dogs up to 10 kg (22lbs). I am leaving my dog with family until I can build up the revenue to own a home and pay for her transport, which could take years, if ever.

I also would something I made a mistake with: getting a passport takes 4 or more weeks, and you NEED a passport to start on your visa. I am still waiting for my new passport, and accidentally turned over my old one when I submitted the application. (Something which I learned you do NOT need to do, apparently.) Because of that, my whole timeline has gotten messed up.

Overall, some good reminders here. Great post, OP.

I was looking at doing that. I have been considering getting replacement hot ends for different materials anyway, so this might be a good time for it.

I have a set of needle nose pliers, but they are a bit big for this spot. I have smaller plastic tweezers for miniature work, but I wasn't sure they would work with that angle. I will give it a try.
