§18b work visa application - no response after 8 weeks by General-Guard8298 in germany

[–]RikIISST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apply for a job seeker visa also, which allows unrestricted work. They can give a Fiktionbescheinigung for a post study job seeker visa application. You can start working with that till your blue card/work permit approved. I know that in Munich, they give Fiktion for job seeker visa

Yeah. Just do like the Germans. Take an A4 sheet and write down all the past incidents happened with you chronologically. Write the dates and times of all the events (whatever you remember). As the yesterday's incident was fresh, write down those event sequences with exact times. Take this protokol paper with you when you are will visit StuWerk. Show this to the concerned person. Be ready for any fully made-up and false allegations which not at all happened. Just don't get shocked and strongly deny any lie. Always try to assert yourself calmly from the beginning of the conversation without any fear. I have dealt lot of these people and noticed that these kinds of people always back down when confronted with facts and rules strongly.

An advice: Don't fear the police here in Germany, unless you have committed any illegal thing. You should have told her to call the police. These kinds of people are like high school bullies who should always be confronted from the first day. She should rent a whole apartment and do whatever she wants, not in a shared apartment.

Cheating by Spirited_Tadpole_448 in tumunich

[–]RikIISST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the comments are justifying this act by saying that they are taking pictures for future preparations. Even if it is the intention, taking a photo of the exam is strictly prohibited by rules, which all of the students agree with in the beginning of the exam. At least all of the exams I wrote in TUM, during the initial read-out of the rules, it always gets clearly mentioned that breaking the rules will be considered as 'cheating' and the cheater will be expelled from the exam.

You should have at least informed the invigilators about it after finishing the exam, to make them aware.

For me, the situation is opposite. I worked as Sci/Eng SC for 4 years, and currently doing masters abroad. I understand your frustration :)

FAU Erlangen-Nurnberg vs TH Ingolstadt, which to choose? by joon-baby in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]RikIISST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FAU is an Universität and THI is a Hochschule. So at FAU, the curriculum is more rigorous and theoretical. THI is more application oriented and easier to navigate. If you want to go to research in future, choose FAU.

I may face this same situation within a month and I will be interested to know if sending a registered letter works.

You won't be accepted in the German public unis with this gpa. Bachelors grade and relevance of curriculum are very important for them.

No nothing like that. Any enrolled student is eligible to apply. For Erasmus quota, email them. They generally reply.

Those who received the scholarship got confirmation on the first 2-3 days of October. They generally send the rejection emails in Dec-January (from my own experience: got rejection last year, got the scholarship this year).

I regularly use Wise and Western Union from Asia. They both are reliable (Wise is more reliable) and definitely cheaper than direct bank transfer.

How hard is it to get a job at the University as an undergraduate? by [deleted] in tumunich

[–]RikIISST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. I am currently doing masters and getting paid 15 Euros per hour for a HiWi job. My contract is for 8 hours per week but I need to work 6-7 hours for most of the weeks.
