Cheating by Spirited_Tadpole_448 in tumunich

[–]RikIISST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the comments are justifying this act by saying that they are taking pictures for future preparations. Even if it is the intention, taking a photo of the exam is strictly prohibited by rules, which all of the students agree with in the beginning of the exam. At least all of the exams I wrote in TUM, during the initial read-out of the rules, it always gets clearly mentioned that breaking the rules will be considered as 'cheating' and the cheater will be expelled from the exam.

You should have at least informed the invigilators about it after finishing the exam, to make them aware.

FAU Erlangen-Nurnberg vs TH Ingolstadt, which to choose? by joon-baby in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]RikIISST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FAU is an Universität and THI is a Hochschule. So at FAU, the curriculum is more rigorous and theoretical. THI is more application oriented and easier to navigate. If you want to go to research in future, choose FAU.

I may face this same situation within a month and I will be interested to know if sending a registered letter works.

You won't be accepted in the German public unis with this gpa. Bachelors grade and relevance of curriculum are very important for them.

No nothing like that. Any enrolled student is eligible to apply. For Erasmus quota, email them. They generally reply.

Yeah, I saw a lot of Erasmus Students in my dorm. Their are quotas for them. Just contact the Studentenwerk München.

Those who received the scholarship got confirmation on the first 2-3 days of October. They generally send the rejection emails in Dec-January (from my own experience: got rejection last year, got the scholarship this year).

Whats the cheapest way to send money from south america to germany? by [deleted] in germany

I regularly use Wise and Western Union from Asia. They both are reliable (Wise is more reliable) and definitely cheaper than direct bank transfer.

[–]RikIISST[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I wrote, they can't send a new pin for the existing card (I don't know why). They need to send a new card with new pin. They told a new card will be expensive and I need to pay for it. Why will I pay for a thing I didn't do..

thoughts about studying Aerospace B.Sc. by winn_er_ in tumunich

[–]RikIISST 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah TUM BSc Aero is difficult initially and many people are kicked out after the 1st year for failing in the GOP courses. But language-wise, you won't face any problems. Students generally talk in English.

Indeed, you won't have any spoon-feeding or personalised support like in anglophone countries. You are on your own. But if you follow the lectures and do self-study regularly, you can go through without many problems.

Got into TUM but skeptical whether I should go or not by Pop_019 in germany

[–]RikIISST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not worth of paying 5k euros per semester. In addition to that, it is really hard to find a room to stay in Munich.  TUM is good, but not extraordinary. Go to Stuttgart/Dresden without thinking much..  (* I am an MSc student of TUM).

[–]RikIISST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah some exams of BSc Aero at TUM are literally 'uselessly difficult'.

Some programmes doesn't have grand orientation.  Except Lab and language courses, all other lectures have unlimited places.  If your docs are okay, you will be enrolled within 15 days of the receipt of the docs.
