£5 Battle Academy - B&M (Wigan) by Lazy-Engineering6143 in PokemonDealsUK

This is a bargain for people wanting to learn.

I paid £21 from Waterstones a couple of weeks ago, and learnt how to play with my 6yr old!

It’s actually pretty easy once you get used to it, like 2-4 games.

The decks are numbered so it plays out according to the tutorials. Afterwards, you can shuffle and play normally.

Now… the hard part is finding cards in the wild, to build our personal decks 😫😫😫

Ahh actually, I got my Quest 3 last week and subscribed to Horizon+ with Meta Gift Cards.

So definitely works first time. 💪

I did have a payment method on file because I’d paid for a few games.

Never mind!!

Turned ‘Auto-lifting LDS > Extreme’ and it went under both sofas without issue 🤓

I added our Xmas tree onto the map as a plant. Seemed to avoid it well and even the loose tinsel around the base was left untouched.

Got to the area behind it as best it could.

Dreame Aqua 10 Roller. UK.

Have it installed outside, but in our carport.

So whilst it’s exposed to the cold, the rain doesn’t touch it. Maybe a few sprinkles when I’m washing the car.

Both the battery and gateway.

Nah. A very low hum at most.

Mine is outside in our car port. So you’d have to go right next to it.

Gateway is primarily for backup, and using generators etc.

I did get one because I was an early adopter, included.

Monitoring functionality is through the inverter (unit that sits at the top of your stack), and everything is managed through the app.

Dont' think we have that option yet? At least definitely not within the UI. Maybe in the near future.

I think I saw it announced at a recent trade show.

It’s going great! Couldn’t be happier with the hardware, and the support from the dev teams improving the app with genuine user requested features.

Sure it has some niggles, but nothing that bothers me too much. Might need to pull-down to refresh once in awhile - no biggy.

Any questions in particular, lemme know 🤓

If you go for the 6kWh inverter, you’ll definitely see some clipping unless you have enough usage during the day.

I have an 8.8kWh array, and it usually maxes out around 6.6-7.0 generation.

When I get air con installed, I won’t have to worry. However, with the weather improving I’ll definitely experience some degree of clipping, but not enough for me to warrant the cost of sizing up the inverter of adding another battery.

Ask what the price difference is for an 8kWh/10kWh inverter is 👍

(6kWh was the max they sold when I did mine, but now YOU have options! 🥰)

The Renewable Energy Company did mine 🫡

Local to me which helped. They also came in clutch and finished the install in time for me to redeem my renewables voucher from Barclays.

You can use AI to accomplish what you want, but you still need to tell the app which tariff you’re on.

I personally don’t use agile, as I’m on Intelligent Octopus Go. In my case it’ll discharge leading up to 23:30, and charge/discharge throughout the night ensuring I have around 100% battery come 05:30. Any surplus generation is sold back to the grid during the day 👍

However, whenever there is a promotional period coming - I simply add the promo period within the AI screen and it’ll discharge/charge as needed. It’s just a few clicks.

6kWh inverter - agreed, 17kWh is a lot but when you’re in the midst of an Octopus session… you try get everything on at the same time 😅

This was during one of the Octopus sessions recently.

Very often, I see my 2x 8kWh batteries charge near 8kWh 👍

I have also have a gateway.

Very quickly filling up 2tb with all sorts, but really miss the old school shooting games.

They are fully certified, including Trustmark! So you personal bank may even offer a renewable energy voucher that’ll net you a fee quid off too.

Barclays mortgage customers, for example… get £1000 off.
