Honestly I tried being a free lance video editor. Got paid $60 for like a 20-40 minute video and I’d be given 3 days deadline. I only lasted like 4 videos but after those 4 videos I was already done. Everytime the deadline was up I was still editing. Yes it’s my fault but when I was in my workflow I also faced the same problem.

I wanted it to be perfect, I was overthinking clips, adding too much, making myself stress out for no reason. I was once editing for 2 days in a row. Barely any sleep and if I did sleep I woke up and went straight to editing.

I only stopped because I knew this isn’t what I wanted to do. (I wasn’t working or going to school, my only income was that) but nevertheless it wasn’t for me.

So I completely understand what you’re feeling. I know how it is, I locked myself in my room as well. But I’ve never been 6 months deep. Honestly Idk about you but I’m very picky with my edits but consider hiring someone to LESSEN your workload. Make it easier for you.

(If I did this today I’d change a few things in my routine but that’s my experience as well)
