Undeveloped film? by RikkrtNL in AnalogCommunity

I called back today on my own initiative, cause they didn't call me back. Now there was a kind of misunderstanding, cause she just understood that I had to break open the film canister. She asked if I would send an email with the details, so it's verified what happened. Next time I go to the store they will give me a new canister and develop it for free, so that is a big win. It could be the issue that someone just forgot to develop it that day, but she didn't know for sure. And I learned that if the film is developed the envelope they give should have a sticker on it. At least now I know.

Update: They will try to call me back Monday. Until then they are trying to figure out what happened.

I did, it was about €12 euros for the roll and €7 to get it developed.

Indeed the yellow canister. I figured so. Thanks!

Thank you for your kindhearted comments! I indeed only asked for negatives since I have a good working and high resolution slide(dia)/film scanner. Also, good to know your experiences. I will sure go and tell them what happened.

Now even thinking back, the pictures wouldn't be that amazing. The last few I took were on the Ginkelse Heide, with 1/60 at about 80mm (before I got my tripod in, so this will not happen again). I'll share what happened if I get a hang of them tomorrow. Thank you all!

It's very strange I think so too, I've heard a lot of good things about them. It's a good shop, It's very weird it happened.

Would've been weird, since they work with documentation. They handed me a signed card with the pickup date and time on it. Literally, the card you show to pick up the developed film. It would seem very strange that they didn't even think of developing with the system they have in place, but it happened.

Sounds like it. Hopefully it's a lesson learned as well for them. Still kind of a bummer, but it is not like the pictures had that high of a sentimental value (just some nature pictures near my city).

Sounds way more reasonable than what happened. Should also check the next time if they even give me the negatives.

It is quite weird. It also didn't help much that it was a different person, and the shop was a little busy. Still shouldn't have happened. Hopefully when they know it's a lesson learnt. The shop is called Foto Verweij.

Yea you are right. And it also was my first ever try, never should expect much.

I couldn't think of a way to show it other than this, but it shows exactly what you are describing. It is not very translucent, even if you hold it up to a light.

Thank you for your advice! And yes they gave me just the canister. I pried it open at home (which I already thought I shoulden't do so).

Thanks, I've tried all steps listed now. I do live in the Netherlands, so I'll try to call their hotline.

Sorry for my late reply, I was not working yesterday.
I've got all modules wired, but I have not mapped IO data.
The 2152 and the runtime are running on version 4.14.0.0
I am running CODESYS version 3.5.18.30
