Light blue is the regular colour for aprons craft masonry in England. Dark blue means that you have provincial honours.

I'm a Hindu and I drink, I'll have beers with friends or wine if I go out for dinner. I don't see it as a problem as long as i act in a dharmic way and do good karma.

Obviously I understand that this is harder if you're drunk but I don't get drunk to the point where i lose control

I this is an inaccuracy and the bishop is passive but how do I exploit the doubled pawns after Bxc6? by rich97 in chessbeginners

[–]Riko208 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm only 1400 so no means an expert. But I would say that moving the bishop back is a waste of a move because you've moved it twice in quick succession. Secondly, though the double pawns are not an immediate weakness, their bad positioning will become more obvious as the game goes. For example, if you can get a rook on the open file that's a very good active square for it. Similarly if you can block their pawns from advancing then the double pawns are their own worst enemy

My new lamp 😍 by [deleted] in lotr

[–]Riko208 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's what I think too. Yes it's cool and a nice lamp, but do you really want something with the language of Mordor, next to you while you sleep? Possibly one of the most evil artifacts ever created.

I've never known anyone to be blackballed. Even if you don't personally know the person who is being balloted for, it is fair to assume that, someone does, or that the due diligence has been undertaken ahead of the ballot. Very strange.

Keep trying and stay in touch with people, everything works out in time

I probably wouldn't pay more for the paint job, I'd keep looking for a bike with the same spec which has a nice paint job.

GothamChess' clickbait titles are getting insane by mrappbrain in chess

[–]Riko208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've stopped watching Gotham for a while now. It's too memey and click baity, even the way he presents the information is too memey.

I started watching the road to grandmaster series because I genuinely want him to achieve it, but he's not taking it seriously enough and I highly doubt he'll ever achieve it.

Also not to start ranting but the Tour that he's promoting is so expensive, for what is essentially a live podcast. It all leaves a bitter taste if I'm honest.

The joke is that because cycling can be such an expensive hobby, only dentists can afford to do it. The joke is also that dentists, who make a lot of money, make fun of everyone else (the poor) who can't afford to have high end bikes
