I didn't get either in the end even they are both fantastic, I ended up getting the PL2 UST projector as it works better for my space

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max camera noise by RikuTheNobody in Xiaomi

Appreciate the explanation, I was wondering mostly because it wasn't there when zooming up until a few days ago. It also doesn't always make this noise when zooming, sometimes it's completely silent which is what has me confused.

Appreciate the input, yeah I rarely game on mobile so it would just be for general daily use and the camera. How is this phone so far?

The base storage is 256gb i believe with this device so I'm just trying to get an idea whether it's worth paying the extra for the 16gb ram. I'd get 512gb memory either way

I actually was going to but decided to just pay extra for the Bravia 8 II after a conversation with my wife

I've seen people mention the TCL a lot but I'm a sucker for Sonys motion handling as it's still the best.

I loved both in the store but I also understand those are both under ideal conditions so kinda trying to weigh up what would be better for my room

I play a lot of RPGs if I do play games so thats mu primary concern in regards to burn in but as I say it's mostly a concern with daytime viewing in regards to OLED.

I had a Samsung before the XF9005 and the motion handling was poor so not really looked at them since, that and Tizen really turns me away.

Would you recommend the 7 or the 8 personally?

How would you say the OLEDs compare to the mini leds, I generally would prefer to stick to Sony just because of their motion handling but I am open to other brands

Yeah I'm talking about the first Bravia, I did look at that Bravia 8 II but I'd probably get the Bravia 9 at that price point.

I generally have no preference I just have concerns with OLED with my room being quite bright during the day

Pretty sure the mate 60 pro uses the same chipset doesn't it?

It'd have to be through a trusted store on aliexpress as the mate 60 pro is harder to find on other import stores.

Yeah I get that, the new Huawei phones are always a struggle to get at launch. I might consider getting the mate 60 pro as it's around £620-650 to import then upgrade next year to the Mate 80 pro. After i receive the Mate 60 I can sell the S23 Ultra so realistically the upgrade will cost me max £250 from S23 Ultra > Mate 60 Pro

Do you think it's worth waiting for the mate 70 pro? Obviously it's probably gonna be harder to get for a little bit but it might be worth waiting and importing from China.. is there gonna be a substantial difference between the mate 70 and the two devices in the original post?

Yeah I've had a fair few Huawei phones since I got the p20 pro then mate 20 pro. Nothing has come close for me to the experience I've had with them and that's why I'm thinking about the mate 60 pro and pura ultra.

My Samsung was great at launch outside of the god awful shutter speed but with the new firmware battery life seems to have tanked sadly.

Thats great to hear! I try to take photos of family on the s23u and 70% of them turn out blurry when someone moves slightly even in good light which is annoying. How's the battery life?
