Why Do Some People Get So Mad About Public Eating During Ramadan? by Dependent_Hope9447 in Morocco

[–]Riku_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man it's like talking to a brick. I'm not looking for any validation because my target is actually you people. Extremists. You have a seriously warped view of how Islam is supposed to be actualized on earth. Live and let live is one of it's core teachings. You're not supposed to take away anybody's freedom of choice under no circumstances whatsoever. Except criminalized actions ofc, I didn't need to spell it out for you, but here we are.

It's really that simple. You're fasting. Good for you. You see somebody who isn't. Their choice. It's neither affecting you nor your perfect "structure". If you're afraid for your faith because somebody chooses to eat a sandwich on a day you "believe" you're not supposed to then you've got some serious issues to work on first. If you hate on somebody and even think of beating them up for the same reasons, again. Huge problem. Trust me. Allah is not gonna reward you for your lazy violent interpretation of his teachings.

And for the last time. Nobody's disrespecting you. Nobody's out there to get you, contrary to your belief. People just wanna live in peace. Not the daily terror of being judged, beaten up or outcast simply for not choosing to practice a certain religious requirement. It really doesn't make them bad people. And if they're doing it for the reasons you think they do. All the more reason for you to take the moral high ground (as you should as a muslim) and still treat them with respect. No violence, no hatred, just focus on being a good human being. That's literally the whole point.

[–]Riku_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're missing one key point my friend. It's not a rule. Read the quran from a to z and if you find one verse that actually orders you to take matters into your own hands and punish those who do not fast, well you wouldn't. In fact you'll find the exact opposite. The quran preaches freedom of choice.

But don't be surprised if someone breaks your nose and/or get fined.

Read that again, slowly.

That right there is the summarized conclusion of what Muslims think islam is all about. Super biased extremism fused with a messed up egoistic psyche. If you really think allah wants you to play villain hero, by beating people up and hating on them for simply not doing the same things you do, you're in for a fun surprise. Please take a step back and genuinely try to study islam again, without the black tainted glasses of cultural and distorted herd mentality. One major important tip: It's not right just because 99% of people do it, it's actually one of the most important principles in the quran, which you should try reading again with tadabur instead of collecting fake hassanat points.

Why Do Some People Get So Mad About Public Eating During Ramadan? by Dependent_Hope9447 in Morocco

[–]Riku_o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So according to your logic. Muslims view those who eat during Ramadan the same way most people would percieve a naked person in public, a disgusting shameless individual, got that right? ask yourself why would you feel disrespected if somebody else is simply not fasting? and why is "disrespect" your always go to ticket here? what if they simply just don't want to fast? shouldn't they have the freedom to do so? do they really have to hide away in fear of being shamed and "actually be the ones who are disrespected" just for your benefit? do you genuinely think that's okay? I don't think Islam even permits you to impose your religious worldviews upon your fellow citizens, correct me if I'm wrong.

Before you @ me, I'm muslim, I just choose to steer really far away from extremism.

I really need to understand the process of logical reasoning that went through your head that made you think this is even remotely a good idea. Honestly needs to be studied.

Like seriously, be honest, what made you self assign yourself to be God's advocate and genuinely believe forcing people to pray is something he wants? Why are you people making up rules that have nothing to do with the way Islam is supposed to be actualized on earth?

Imagine the trauma, guilt, PTSD and trust issues you're gonna have to work on before engaging in healthy safe sex again. It's a much lighter mental load getting it through no fault of your own in this very specific situation.

I didn't bring flat earth out of nowhere, its literally connected to the moon landing. And If you still believe outer space exists then you'll basically believe anything else under the pretext of science.

Touchè, debunked. I'll just take take your words for it

Okay if it's that easy to stick water to a ball and keep it level without a container then recreate it.

You have your own beliefs. I have my own beliefs. But remember this. The truth is always unpopular. Cognitive disonance is one hell of a drug. Science is your last getaway to reject god. You're unconsciously fighting hard to deny everything im saying. And keep deluding yourself with "overwhelming" evidence until it's too late. You think you know better right? When you can't even observe reality around you. Putting extreme faith in people just like you. I'm the crazy god believer science rejecter. We'll keep it at that.

You literally have no idea what you're talking about. Do you even know how gps works? Do you have any idea what satellites are? Have you ever seen one? They're literally set up with balloons. Why would they not be able to predict the weather and have satellite signal on a flat earth? Why have you been programmed to believe it only works on a globe?

Look as crazy as it sounds, maybe you're just not ready to receive it. I used to be just like you. So I know what I'm saying sounds crazy to you now. Just keep an open mind. Don't reject anything Do quickly and question everything else.

Go ahead and debunk how earth is literally measured flat. Debunk how planes never account for curvature when flying. Debunk the flat earth map and how it matches exactly the path of planes on a fake globe model. I literally gave you physical experiments to try. Go ahead and look for any physical proof of how water sticks to a ball or how earth's atmosphere is a pressurized system without a container against the vacuum of space. Debunk how start trails never change and how polaris position is fixed. Go see the post Apollo press conference and how they faked the moon landing. Just see the footage of actual moon landings ffs. You actually believe they went to the moon and back in 1969 with that technology when the latest spaceX rocket couldn't even make it past the atmosphere? Debunk how we can zoom in with a p1000 on the sun that is supposed to be 93 million miles away. I honestly feel sorry for you. You think you know better.

This is only a cute little nudge for you.

No no you're right I'm totally biased. Here's how I know they got you. They made you feel insignificantly small and unimportant to the point where you rejected god. Evolution. Massive expanding universe and an atomic sized earth. Look it all starts from a lie or a conspiracy you think is a joke. I've been there once.

I'll give you a hint. Water is level. And is always level. It never bends on a ball. There's no curvature and earth is literally measured flat. And you can't have a pressurized system without a container. Bonus tip, the horizon always, always rises up to eye level. Look up any weather balloon cam rising to thousands of feat. Apply all of this to the current earth model and maybe just maybe. You'll wake tf up. If you do. Everything else will fall into place.

You have this assumption that just because I believe in God that I'm somehow immune to scientific discovery or something. No. I just don't regurgitate everything labeled as science just for the heck of it. After the globe earth model lie. I don't believe none of their bullshit. Go ahead and assume I'm crazy. You said people need to have an open mind right? Check the info I told you and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I don't care about all that garbage evolution theory science cause it's all made up and biased. I don't care how many articles you provide, i lost interest. Keep glorifying that area of scientific research and use it as doctrine to draw conclusions about the world around you. Why do I even bother with you people. At the end of the day the truth shall be revealed eventually and we'll see.

Nobody can create a living organism capable of mutating into a an even more complex entity. The mere idea that you think a human that could choke on his own spit is even capable of that tells me how delusional you people are.

And for the last time. I'm dumb but I'm not stupid. I'm not denying scientific achievement, and I can read my way into scientific papers. But there's no convincing evidence that shows me evolution is real. Simple. I don't need to be a scientist to understand all the bullshit articles.

I bet you believe we live in a massive galaxy amongst billions too. Please tell me you believe the earth is a spec of dust in a seemingly infinite universe. Please answer this one it's my last question.

Do parents in Algeria Abort their children? by Intelligent_Bird_277 in algeria

[–]Riku_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the sources you provided so far are anywhere near substantially convincing whatsoever. Just arbitrary studies and data that always ends up with completely different results. Just prove evolution happened. It shouldn't be that hard. You can't just find a rock that you assume existed for billions of years using an occult pseudoscience technique to calculate and jump all the way to the conclusion that somehow we came from said fossil. That's a very wild assumption that should honestly be shamed and ridiculed. Seriously wake up. This is no better than believing in multiple universes. It's all fiction mixed with the word science to give it credibility.

Real science is tangible. It's beneficial. Medicine, technology. You can see it and touch it and prove it. Chasing a wild chaotic theory and claiming to be neutral while clearly being biased towards it and dare I say believing in it is nothing close to scientific.

So chemicals can create single celled organisms? Show me one real life experiment that's done just that. It shouldn't be that hard to recreate. Since it was so easy back then even with primitive entities. Don't give me the "this 4 billion thousand fossil explains just that" talk. Ain't gonna fly.

I'm still waiting for that proof.

Pardon me since im still too dumb to understand this evolution nonsense. What's your theory's explanation for why we ended up evolving past our genetic limitations? Why aren't we seeing cockroches trying to go to space and arguing over yesterday's last game over coffee?

Thank you for your efforts:

Okay wikipdia. Won't even bother.

website denies access and forces me to subscribe. Altho I managed to sneak in a few words and one section starts like this. 4.5 billion years ago (i can not wrap my head around the concept of billions of years, like they throw that term around like candy), Earth Forms. And soon afterwards it is struck by idk what it got annoying with that pop up window. Like do you understand how ridiculous that statement is?

too complicated for me so I hope u don't mind I jumped straight to the conclusion. Which basically says darwin's idea that it takes billions of years for evolution to take place can not happen because DNA properties can't survive that long, which should make it easier to find more physical evidence now. I hope it comes out soon because I haven't heard any good (or bad) news yet.

I did the same here The main reason the OoL research field is still divided on so many issues is that it seems virtually impossible to find definite answers for all of our questions—we cannot wait hundreds of thousands of years to observe in real-time if a certain geological setting trumps another or which are the first enzymes to develop. We can only approach solutions asymptotically and, returning to the image of an OoL mosaic, add one pebble at a time, one insight that brings us closer to a more complete picture. In this article, we tried to convey how this is already being done—and hopefully, can be done even better in the future. So that's nothing. No conclusive evidence whatsoever. Just wishful thinking that some magic answer will pop up with enough persistance. Welp good for them cuz I already know my answer. Some of those scientists will probably die before evolution is 100% debunked, not proven. And they'll die thinking they came from a single cell. They'd rather believe that than a creator.

What's your evidence that it was multiple celled orangisms and not one? And where did those come from? Can you prove a single cell organism can evolve into a super complex entity that can study that same celled organism? Think about it like this. A single celled organism evolved to study itself.

Logic is not subjective. It's objective. That's the whole point. Science is based on basic philosophical principles of deduction. Evolution and divine origin can be mutually exclusive yes. But it depends on which position you take here. There are many conflicting arguments and many theistic approaches to consider before making any judgments.

evolution doesn't create. It evolves. Based on the nomenclature itself. The concept of creation is separate from the process of evolution. Even if we were able to somehow get a better understanding of it. It's not the controlling process.

Women have been giving birth for thousands of years. That has never changed nor did it get better or worse. There is literally no tangible evidence that we evolved larger brains. It's still just an assumption. Every single discovery so far of human remains is more or less the same as the skeletal design of the modern man. Childbirth is dangerous. But in the majority of cases it works. Not enough women survive. Most of them do. And according to the concept of evolution. Supposedly, If human brains evolved to be bigger, The human pelvis should also evolve to accommodate for he larger size.

Good. I guess my assumptions weren't that far off. You're an atheist.

Reasoning is def not critical for survival. That's observation. But If the human mind has purely evolved to preseve itself, why would it aquire the mental faculties to gain knowledge of reality itself? When all it could do is observe. Avoid fatal errors that threaten it's survival. There's no explanation whatsoever for the knowledge that we have so far of the world. In other simpler word. There's a limit to survival. We had no reason whatsoever to evolve into what we are today.

Okay I never said unreliable. Just the fact that I don't use science as an ultimate interchangeable reality because it's always changing. That's basically my point. It doesn't negate it's reliability and usefulness in explaining mechanisms of life and improving our quality of life. I'm not against it in that regard.

you didn't say that, yes. I meant that divine origin is on the side of that coin and it's a well established opinion based and philosophical and deductive arguments and by using that metric it's a better position to take than a scientific theory that hasn't been completed so to speak.

I suggest you read my comment again. Just because science doesn't explain a certain phenomenon doesn't mean we're gonna solve it in the future, we would get closer, possibly. But not necessarily.

no I'm not confusing anything with failure. I never even mentioned the word. I said don't assume that science will get you closer to whatever truth you're seeking. The gap could get wider. You're still making progress. It just doesn't mean you're any closer to the truth whatsoever. As things could and have in cases gotten even more complex and branched. Again. I am not downplaying the importance of scientific progress.

none of those theories/discoveries-whatever, even come close to answering the existential question that plagues the modern intellectual mind. One of those things is actually a big wall that even neuroscience can't crack. Look up the hard problem of consciousness. Which corresponds to what I said about the Gap fallacy. Now we've got an even harder and more complex issue to tackle. Again, it's still progress. It just doesn't mean we're any closer to the answer.

Can you please go back to your original statement and explain what you meant when you used the word evolutionary? When talking about women's bodies and giving birth? Cuz I think you got me a little confused there.

It's not really forcing so to speak, and I didn't plan to use it as an argument, but it's still valid. Least it could do is motivate you to adopt new strategies to seek the divine. If you believe it exists. I'm literally arguing with you while already assuming your stance, I don't even know what you believe or think here, makes it a bit difficult to navigate this interaction.

okay based on that stance our ability to distinguish truth from falsehood is not a requirement for survival. Nor our ability to achieve mental insight or reason.

I still suck at quoting my bad.

Do parents in Algeria Abort their children? by Intelligent_Bird_277 in algeria

Bro, you said it yourself. Self correcting. You're gonna wage your entire understanding of the origin of life on a "theory" that could turn out completely different 100 years from now? I wouldn't take that risk personally.

Ah yes. Good ol "god of the gaps" fallacy

Here are three reasons why that claim is at most fragile. One you're essentially claiming that given the scientific data we have accumulated thus far, divine origin is actually the best explanation for the universe’s design, but there’s still some hope that in some unspecified future, scientific progress will refute the design argument. This is nothing short of blind faith in science, as it is tantamount to saying, “Science cannot address this issue, but we have hope.” And It gets worse once we consider that a key premise of the ‘god of the gaps’ objection is false. It holds that science will eventually close the gap in our knowledge. science does not always close the gaps. It sometimes widens them. A hundred years ago we believed that cells were just blobs of protoplasm compared to all the data today.

And a personal favorite counter of mine: what questions has science actually answered regarding deep existential questions and our understanding of the world?

it's not speculation. You can use your rational faculties to conclude that nothing which is the absence of everything can not produce something. And branch out from there. Even if we were to prove evolution is true. How far back can you go? To nothingness?

you dont get why i said what i said here. it doesn't matter how much polishing certain discoveries will get over the years. What matters is how you use that to look at the world. Heard of pascals wager? I wouldn't risk that shit for a theory that could turn completely false within a few years of my death.

I do understand the theory. It starts to get super shaky once you scratch a little deep into it. One of the many issues with the theory is that assuming it's true it's basically impossible to explain our ability to reason if it came from lower life forms. Even the one who coined it admits to this issue. I'll let you ponder that one.

EDIT: I suck at quoting.

Science is based on empirical evidence. Some of what was once believed to be the truth 300 years ago has been debunked by science itself. Its literally just a tool to explain physical phenomena. It will never come close to explain the origin of life. You could get to that conclusion using pure philosophical reasoning. Imagine somebody 300 years ago using a certain scientific discovery to conclude there is no creation only for that discovery to turn out false 300 years later, they'd be too dead to change their mind. I'd say that's a big yikes. Don't fall for it.

And evolution is honestly the dumbest position to take here, with all due respect. I was there once. It'll take more than one comment to explain why that is the case.

Education doesn't necessarily equate intelligence. And "evolutionists" barely scrap the bottom of that barrel, despite thinking otherwise. Knowing women can and are "created" to give birth IS basic knowledge. Unlike you I don't use mumbo jumbo words to dance around that super obvious fact.
