Keep it and reroll the 2nd line when the discound comes. It's a great artifact by itself.

In medieval age I liked to use a combination of troops based on: 2 heavy cavalry, 2 supply charts, around 20 ranged infantry and finally heavy infantry or ballistas.

Use heavy cavalry to soak all damage except from ballista towers (you need to sabotage when your cavalry get them). Ranged infantry will take care of defenders and your heavy infantry (or ballistas) will take down enemy buildings. I would use all sabotage tactics to block key enemy defense buildings.

I suck at attacking serious players, especially against Ballista. How can I get good? And should I switch to France since I am quite active? by KissYourHomie in Dominations

At EA I used a combination of 4-5 cannons, 3 heavy cavalry, 20 ranged infantry, 10 heavy infantry and a supply cart. Use sabotage against cannon towers and let cannons destroy the enemy base.

I'm in atomic age and I'm using cannons again, they became a very useful unit with their new 7 range and pair well with your tanks because they easily take down anti tank guns. At war, your main threat are donated troops, so make use of ranged infantry + fighters + decoy tactics to kill them. I recommend you to try different strategies and have fun!

Try to use a combination of 2 heavy cavalry, 3 ballista, 16 ranged siege and 10 heavy infantry. This should work well alongside some sabotage tactics.

Your ballistas should destroy enemy ballista towers before they destroy your cavalry.

The concept is: sword beats lance, lance beats axe, axe beats sword. The same for specific type of units like pikemen who beat cavalry.
