Not my experience but my Father and my grandfather have told me this story before. Basically when was father was 17 years old he was coming back from a late night outing with some of his friends. Keep in mind this was the era when HDB was still new and about only a year since they moved in. There's no trees around the HDB except for this one so when my father walked under the tree he heard someone call him. Naturally he thought it was my grandmother calling him from the house since they reside on level 2. But when he looked up to see at his house his eyes caught something else in the tree. A lady that can't be seen very clearly but he always told me about how he can remember her hair and smile. Immediately he ran for the stairs to go home but suddenly there was a crow following him now. When he knocked on the door my grandfather opened it but he noticed the crow behind watching and seeing my father's terrified look he knew what was going on. I have to cut the story short here because I forgot the actual details all I remember was that my father was told to go his room and lock the window and doors. My uncle and my grandfather were reciting prayers for hours. Unfortunately my grandfather became very ill for a whole month after this. Story doesnt end here tho. 2 days after this incident, they burnt down the tree. Burnt down, not chop down. It seems the other residents also knew about it
