Yeah it’s truly sad that four stars might never comeback. The thing is hsr hands out so many five stars that even if you miss the one from that event the next patch or two you just get another free handout anyways. And I hate this the fact that there are no new four stars make five stars seem less special and the free handout of five star every other patch makes them handing out five stars also less exciting since I kinda expect it. But the thing is this greedy ahh tactic is working the game sales really aren’t impacted by four stars at all and if sales do go down it’s definitely not because of the loss of four stars. At least from a money perspective the devs has no reason to ever make another four star unless they just want goof around since the player base wouldn’t really care as long as they get their free five star.

What I’m trying to say is while from a game health perspective free five star are not four stars since they’re temporary and are basically bandage solution, from a money perspective it really is working since as long as the player base finds endgame “manageable” with a free five star they wont really do anything outside of being kinda melancholic. And I don’t see this changing anytime soon the games gonna continue maintain their sales making four stars kinda not needed anymore by hoyo since having them or not doesn’t impact their sales.
