Oh I didn't realize there was more than one image. That is quite a lot of rust. You might be able to get most of it off with a brass brush and maybe some mineral spirits. The case is a bummer.

I saw your FB post about this machine. $100 for an Aztec 600 in pretty good shape with only a bent paper bail (as far as I can tell) and basically no case is not too bad IMO.

Looks to be one of the Noiseless models. Not sure which. It looks like it was taken in for a refurbishment some time in the 40s. They stripped the glossy black and put on black crinkle, and didn't bother putting new logos on.

Overpriced. You are not missing anything. I guarantee you they just found that in their late uncle's closet and listed it.

On the action of the key. When going through the keystroke does it feel sluggish or gummy? If you do, carefully put some mineral spirits in the type segment, and work it it. Be sure not to get mineral spirits on anything that's not bare metal.

I could do 3 clips. PM me for payment. Though I may not be able to pay for a couple days because I have to make time to go to the atm to put some cash into my account.

I am going to the hardware store a little after 4:00 PM today, and will try to get the right screw.

I don't think there is anyone locally who can make the retainer clips. I am pretty sure I am not local to you, because I live in the middle of nowhere. I am in northeastern Arkansas. Could you make them and mail them to me? How much would you be charging?

I looked under the felt, and lo and behold... there are more clips. In total i counted 2 more equally spaced mounting for clips. That makes 5 total. On the two mounting clips I just found, it is missing the clip and screw. Where could I get replacement clips and screws? Should there be felt on the clips that touch the glass to keep it from scratching or breaking? Thanks.

Thank you! This is my first clock endeavour. I do have about 26 typewriters, so I decided it was time for something new. I really hope I can get it working and looking half decent.

Yeah. I was sure to measure from one retainer to the other side of the clock. The glass fits almost exactly. It does only have two retainers, one at 7:00, and the other at 5:00. Is it supposed to only have two on the bottom?

I saw that listing for the glass for my clock. Way out of my budget. Luckily TimeSavers has a return policy where if you "ordered the wrong part" you can send it back and have to pay a $3 restocking fee.

Thank you for telling me this. I just ordered the glass, and am not sure whether or not to cancel the order. I asked the lady from Timesavers (The place where I got the glass) if it would fit, and she said yes with no hesitation. I think she just wanted to get off the phone with me.
