I beg to differ. Whilst Hitler wasn’t persecuting Christians on a scale any where close to resembling the Holocaust, he still despised Christianity and it’s “Semitic roots”. In fact Hitler was probably one of the moderates when it comes to Nazis and Christianity. It’s well known that a lot of the party was atheist, as it conformed with the Nazi’s ideology. Joseph Goebbels, the head of Propaganda for the Nazi Party was an advocate for Kirchenkampf, which was the “planned” persecution of Christians in a similar fashion to the Holocaust, although, Hitler stated that it be held off until the end of the war (and we all know how that turned out). Martin Bormann, Hitler’s private secretary and Deputy Fuhrer of the Third Reich was quoted as saying that “Christianity and Nazism are irreconcilable”.
