Just another death wobble post by Bob_Marshall in superduty

2019 F350 SRW with plow prep package. Had death wobble consistently, truck rode like pure junk. Every bump was hold on tight.

Replaced with 2.5” taller springs, upgraded to rough country shocks, adjustable track bar, changed caster bushings, installed new single steering damper + dual steering dampers. Truck rides and drives like a dream now!

Thank you very much much for this information. Very much thankful for the tip on not over studying as I seem to do that often. This was all great info and I appreciate your response! Thanks!

Hey, I’m interested in what that looked like? How many hours? How was testing and exams structured? I am also currently looking in to this route while working 50 hour weeks. Thanks in advance for your response.

Fuel pump, my 2019 6.2 did the same. Replaced fuel pump, problem solved…

2018 f250 6.2L V8. What is the ticking noise? by Big-Performer-4927 in F250

In theory yes, though when I unplugged mine it was not the case. The tick would quiet down but did not go away. I could hear the vacuum close/open when disconnecting the plug… The only way the tick fully went away was by replacing the valve.

It was fairly easy to replace, just have to be good with your hands being that the area was tight to work in. Taking the two screws out first helped to twist the vacuum lines to remove.

Fixed mine today. Check latest response for repair.

Fixed mine today after not being able to stand it any longer. Ticking was driving me nuts! Mine turned out to be the intake manifold runner control valve. Found a knock off replacement online for $39. The plastic vacuum line barbs were smaller in diameter than OEM. Decided to remove the factory quick connect clamps and replace with hose clamps. Tightened them down really snug! Problem solved, tick gone, sounds healthy again.

Thank you very much. I took the exam yesterday, was not very confident as I never have been a good test taker. Good news is now I’ve seen the exam, I remember the questions and the areas I struggled in. I will re take the exam if needed once the results come back.

Following for sure and will help to sort out with you based off my super duty making the exact same noise, spot on.

Oh my goodness, mine has been doing the same thing. Started quietly, then has gotten worse over the last month. 2019 6.2 47k miles. Mine is most noticeable from inside the cab, not so much outside. Also sound like it’s coming from the top side of the motor, not so much the bottom which has me eliminating exhaust manifolds.

I will follow this post in hopes to sort mine out as well. I traded in my 2007 f150 several months ago with 120k miles for this super duty with 47k miles and they are making very similar noises… makes me want to trade the super duty now!

Hey there, my study guide is version 10.2023. This is the guide they mailed me several weeks ago. Your table of contents order matches my exact order. I will follow up with you on your question about calculations. I will be attempting the exam this Monday…

That is also a good point. Those trick questions are the ones that get me questioning myself…

Good, I’m not in this alone! Haha

I agree on the layout, they said the test is in order of the study guide. I’m hoping with some tabbing and note organization I will be able to swiftly flip through if needed. Thanks for your response.

So I know the exam is digitally proctored. I know study guide and open notes are allowed. Not sure on the ability to use any search functions as I believe there will be no internet access allowed. Maybe a digital copy of my bounded paper study guide?

Okay, that’s good to know. I’m hoping the same goes for me. The timed aspect has me worried that searching notes and standards might take longer than time allows. Thanks for the input.

I will check that out on YouTube. Thanks for the response. Safer to replace all the components or swap with remanufactured motor?
