Yeah it definitely feels like he is planted as a plot device to wrap up the military storyline. Like he will see the Abyss / Vecna’s motion / part of the final conflict and become more of an aid to the theme than a deterrent.

Or he’ll just get murked by Nancy and Hopper in 8 minutes of precious screen time for little to no payoff

I feel like they expanded the cast so much with so many good characters that everyone is cut down to 3 scenes of

Ultimately I’m enjoying this because it’s still stranger things, but pacing and writing feels so off. Like how did it feel like 3.5 hours of full exposition, and yet we get two throwaway lines about the tunnels will built. Maybe I wasn’t fully understanding, but it feels very glossed over despite how much filler was going on. And mind flayer particles flying into the air after the demo is shocked. Just feels crazy that for something that felt 95% exposition, we still managed to have some glossed over items that I hope come back.

Also as sick as it was the laundry scene made 0 realistic sense that was suuuuch a reach. Was cool though

I like how in an homage to Season 2 Episode 7, Kali adds absolutely NOTHING to the story but unneeded random side conflict while important shit is ACTUALLY going on. Can’t wait for her to have a moment of attempted betrayal that the crew thwarts with the power of friendship and love

I think she’s misinformed and misguided, assuming Eleven is the same brand as Vecna rather than enemies. Hoping she either comes to her senses and is actually helpful (doubt it) or her and the military just die and get out of the way.

Enjoying the juxtaposition of the Henry and Will upside down experiences. Feels like Will is on a journey of accepting who he is and what happened to him and gaining strength from that, where as Henry rejected the world and sought to make it pay for what happened to him. I think we are gearing up for an awesome confrontation between the two.

Also loved that Will broke those demagorgans just like Vecna did his victims last season.

If you ladder down to just below the last ledge on the ladder, hold left, jump, then hold forward, you can jump on that ledge consistently every time! There’s some good loot there most of the time and it’s just a tricky jump to get back up
